Been twice and both times doctors/residency didn’t listen to me sadly. One gave referral for abdomen image when I came in for kidney and lung pain and clearly stated that. She even did bedside image and said she thought it was my lung. No way to correct the error they say unless I come back in. Just go somewhere else that actually listens and cares.
Worst doctors ever I told them what was wrong. Explained to them I didn’t want there drugs I need imaging of some sorts idk I’m not a dr. What did they do. Wrote me a script and wrote down on it what I told them the problem was. No imaging no nothing. Oh and yes I’m insured it’s not that they wouldn't get paid it’s because they are inexperienced and lazy. Or maybe just lazy. I don’t know but if it gets worse I will definitely call my lawyer since that’s how things work these days I guess. Seriously if the doctors are not legitimately concerned with your health who is these days?
When we got there we asked for a summary of care for a visit we made the day prior. They told us we would have to wait and be checked in for them to fill out the document we had/needed filled out. So we waited for over an hour, then They refused to fill out a summary of care provided and were very rude and told us that we needed to speak to our PCP. Who was not there during the visit at all. How are they suppose to know what care you provided if they were not present then when we asked to speak to someone else they said “well that’s tuff, god bless good bye”
Went in for a anesthesia mess up from my dentist and when they gave me meds I had questions/concerns I previously informed them of my health anxiety and how I didn’t like taking meds the male nurse I had was very short with me and walked out then I heard him and another female nurse making jokes about me and complaining that I had questions about the medication I was given. I decided not to take meds and just left because I already felt bad asking questions and to hear them making fun of my mental health was just unprofessional.
I went to the ER because of pain in my arm due to OSU's drawing my blood on the wrong vein. I felt extreme pain dizziness. I arrived at night. The front desk lady was nice. The young girl that asks questions & then takes you through the doors to the ER was extremely rude, then as I'm laying on the ER bed -she's outside the doors laughing to the man- nurse/practicing-doctor about my situation, then he came in being so unprofessional -telling me :That just your bone while pushing down hard on my vien. Malpractice What kind of people are they hiring for the ER! Later, they were surprised that I knew the term fishing when drawing my blood, which is a big no-no when drawing blood. Malpractice Now my arm sometimes feels numb & hurts also my veins are prominent and pop out. The ultrasound showed that my vein had been punctured and the needle hit the bone. -So from Throughout my stay at the hospital I was told it's sist, then nothing was found & then conveniently a hemotoma when I was was discharged. I was unnecessarily stuck with so many needles because they didn't know what they were doing in ER. Malpractice The 8th floor nurses were the only ones that treated me like a human being, -they should the doctors & they should be in the ER, They need a raise.
Was treated in a very timely manner. Staff was very pleasant. I would of gave 5 stars if the ER had a MRI machine.
UPDATE: Came to Tulsa ER because their cardiologist told me to report there for my chest pains. Checked in for dizziness and chest pain plus other symptoms. Was given a bunch of aspirin after I told them their cardiologist department recommended I avoid it for now. Made me sicker and eventually I lost my balance trying to leave i fell and hit my head. I had an attitude but a nurse told security I was a faker and to be careful. I have only 1 leg mind you. By the way I was having a real medical emergency and they police escorted me off the property when It was clear i wasn't going to recieve help and I lost my temper. I drove home barely and had another attack and they helicoptered my butt right back to the hospital in Tulsa. The LifeLight people didn't even offer to take me back to this location. Horrible headache plus my now magnified symptoms due to their neglect. They could have treated me but made me take a helicopter somewhere else. Horrible place for emergency attention. Update: will definitely never bring any family or friends here after whoever at OSU reported me as a disturbance to the people at St. Francis. St. Francis did my amputation and ive never not been treated with respect in that hospital and ive never not given them people my respect. No treatment and I got labeled by OSU. Thats just tacky.
I am so impressed and thankful for the ER staff at OSU. My daughter went to St Francis south with a health scare and she was there 7 hours and stayed in a room for 30 minutes then sent back out to wait the rest the time in the waiting room. No blood test taken. No X-ray. OSU immediately got her back and started EKG and blood work and other test needed. They actually showed they care! Thank you to the doctors and nurses at OSU who go above and beyond
Came into osu emergency center around 5am one morning. Had to wait around 30 minutes although they only had one other patient waiting in the area. They checked over symptoms and gave some meds while I was there before dismissing me saying I was all clear and to go back later if the pain didn’t go away. Came back around 11am and had to wait over 4 HOURS to be seen. Over 10 patients left during the waiting time. The staff working would not answer any questions or offer any help. Once I was seen they told me they found out what was wrong the FIRST time I came in and just never informed me of it!! Had to pay for unneeded extra testing since I only needed antibiotics and still would not answer any other questions or anything about payments! Which they are supposed to be able to do, listed as what they will tell you in the forms you sign. Spent over 7 hours there.
This is only getting one star because I had to give a rating to leave a review..otherwise it would be nothing. My husband is in the hospital at this location because our local hospital sent him there. My husband has made it very clear that he is in no way interested in being in any hospital at all and most definitely not sedated into a coma and put on life support. Yet still this is what they do here in Durant .It has been made clear to hospital staff,EMS,his doctor, his councilor, his friends and myself his wife.I also have relayed this to all including the nurses of the icu where he is now.Im extremely concerned for him and even more upset with the majority of the nursing staff here.To be perfectly honest I am about ready to show up outside this hospital with a media crew.Of the 3yrs. I've been going through this with my husband there has only been 2 hospitals that seem to deem it fit to hold patients against their will.Durant almost overdosed him trying to keep him quiet and in the hospital. Now we're at this one and he has been awake.no longer sedatedseizures was stopped and he wanted to leave the hospital. Now mind you...i am more than willing to pick my husband up and care for him at home.Always have..so it's not like they'd be sending him into the street. Now the last I was able to speak with anyone in the icu unit he is in was last evening. I was asking questions about my husband and was told that he has now been strapped to the bed because he was being combative...of course he is.he wants to go home from a place he never wanted to be in the first place and is being held against his will. His life,His choice. Not theirs. And then I'm told they can't tell me much more because it's over the phone.REALLY...they tell me my husband is basically screaming to go home,he's strapped to a bed after waking up from life support he was on for more than a week because he has seizures. Also told that now he has pneumonia. Which he did not have before he went.Im not allowed to come into the hospital. We live 4 hours away.So tell me how that works. To me and a few other people I've spoke with about this..it looks very suspicious. I have tried to call them twice this morning to see how he is doing. If he is ok.I have been put on hold waiting for his nurse to get on the line to inform me..nobody did.Neither time..not even to ask me to call back in such n such time.NOTHING...I was on hold for a total of 52 minutes with no response from icu at all. They best hope he is released from there to me today or I will have my husband's lawyer on the phone and a news crew in front of the hospital before the day is out.And as soon as I'm done here I'm also leaving a similar review on the parent hospitals web site. This place needs to be looked into. Its not right or humane to hold people again their will and tie them down like rabid animals when the only reason they are being "combative" is because they want to leave and you won't let them......Here I am again..lawyer says to let things play out because the longer they keep him past the day he wanted to leave the worse it is on them. I'm not sure that I agree. That means my husband gets held somewhere he doesn't want to be.I don't care about money.I care about my husband feeling like he's a prisoner in a hospital he doesn't want to be in.Places like this need to be taught a lesson. I'm very confused at this point. They should've just had me pick him up and this wouldn't even be an issue right now.
