Stillwater's oldest martial arts academy focusing on traditional and Olympic style competitive Taekwondo. Classes are held 6 days a week for all ages.
“I have been training in martial arts since I was 15 years old. I began my training with the Korean art of Tang Soo Do before transitioning to Taekwondo at the age of 19. I joined this very school under the tutelage of Master Chris Burt in 1990. During my training here I not only attained the rank of 5th Dan Blackbelt but I also trained in the arts of Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, Silat, Kali, and Eskrima. Although we may touch on some techniques from these other styles, make no mistake, we are a Taekwondo centric school.
I feel my teaching style is heavily rooted in traditional Taekwondo. I focus on technique and form with the understanding that with good technique comes competent competitors. In contrast, I believe that focusing solely on scoring points does not make a well rounded martial artist.
I prefer a balance of traditional art and modern sport.”
Master Todd Brown
The true purpose of Taekwondo is to make people become the best version of themselves that they can be, thereby making the world a better place.
