The Old Depot Museum is part of the Franklin County (Kansas) Historical Society.
The Old Depot Museum contains 12 rooms of exhibits and artifacts from Franklin County's past. Included are an immersive exhibit concerning John Brown's Pottawatomie Massacre which occurred near Lane KS in May of 1856.
The Chautauqua Assemblies which occurred in Ottawa's Forest Park are featured as well as the exaggerated postcards of William H. "Dad" Martin. Temporary exhibits are changed three times a year.
The Old Depot Museum opened in 1963 and is part of the Franklin County Historical Society in Ottawa, Kansas.
