This was my first time playing at this course and I now know why. I scheduled a tee time for 2 at 12:51pm today and while we were teeing off the course manager decided to add a player to our game making us a 3 some. Now me personally, I don’t play golf with people I don’t know. Call it what you want but this is my time that I paid for to enjoy the experience of a game with my friends. I called the pro shop to explain my situation and was informed “there was nothing that they could do for me”, so I explained that I would come up with my own solution. Apparently they didn’t like that so they sent this Jimmy Neutron looking man in a tilt-a-wheel cart to then hassle me about why I didn’t want to play with a stranger. I explained the easiest solution was for him to mind his own business and let us carry on. This idiot then acted like an angry child and told us we could get our money back and leave. I have never had anyone added to my golf game against my wishes and honestly it goes against every reason I go play golf. If you love playing golf with your friends with no violation of your freedom of choice, DON’T PLAY HERE! “OLD FART GOLF COURSE” is not for me. This place sucks! The Managment sucks! And we will never be back here again! *1 thing I will say, this is the first golf course to offered a vegan, gluten-free, oil free snack. Thanks for that!
First time playing this course. Met my dad here after work and played the back 9 only because they were covered up, everybody was trying to get some golf in. Pretty nice course, friendly staff. Almost forgot, we saw 5 deer just casually walk across the course lol.
For a public course, this place is great. Heck, it'd be great as a private course. Golf carts have range/distance technology which was very helpful.
I'm just reading the review of a guy who didn't want to play with a stranger and wanted to go out on a Sunday as a 2 some. What an idiot! This was my first time at Old Forte and it could not have been better. I came out as a single shame on me got paired up with 2 of the most nicest young men I have ever met. We had a great time and the course was amazing. The Starter I don't know his name, but he was the Best
Just received an email regarding the new price increase of nearly $10-$15 starting August 1st. This is a complete and utter joke. This course is not nice enough to be raising the prices of a tee time. The golf course is already over booked and over run and host a large amount of tournaments. There is no explanation for raising the price other than being greedy and wanting more money. It is sad that there are not decent golf courses that are not a rip off available in the Murfreesboro area. They are starting to charge gold prices for a mediocre maintained golf course at best.
Great public golf course.... Pulling in good amount of parking, walk up and tee #1 on the left and carts straight ahead and the clubhouse to the right... Good sized restaurant & bar, pro shop well stocked and friendly service... Great overall layout!!! Greens June 2022 in just about perfect shape, very receptive and rolled very true... Bunkers were in great shape... Fairways were here and there tight and a thin lie here or there but overall just fair shape
This golf course is horrible! Worst customer service and policy. Don’t recommend anybody to go here. The reason is we walked inside the golf course and played one hole and not even finished it, they kicked us out because of the weather was getting cloudy and they said No Refunds, they literally took the money of one hole that we didn’t even finished and gave us credits only for 8 holes. Shame on you guys. Lost 4 players today.
Old Fort is in good shape, considering the other area courses that were hit hard by the Christmas 22 freeze. Sometimes, it can be difficult to walk on due to the high volume of play this public course gets.
Rude staff, called day before to try and book a tee time, didn’t let me just said come in after 12 and they’ll fit me in since I’m a single. Got there, told me that wasn’t the case and they’ll put my name on a list, cool, they did. Called my name 10 minutes later when I’m on the range and gave me about 30 seconds total to get ready to tee off. I’m not sure about you but rushed golf isn’t good golf and a waste of time/money. I get it they did what they said but not letting me confirm a time the day before is unfair.
Good golf course that is always in good shape. Clubhouse and practice facilities are in OK shape. They could use some upgrading. The greens and fairways are always good here, but do not expect a fast round on the weekend. The course is always slow on the weekends, but weekday afternoons are good for a quick round
