I'm extremely disappointed. I paid $7 plus tip for basically one scoop of icecream with cheap hersheys syrup. I don't understand how this price could be acceptable. It seemed like the woman at the counter was confused and did not work there regularly. She herself said that $7 was expensive. I'm giving two stars because I understand the owners are kind, stewards of the community. However $7 seems ridiculous especially considering their target market are older senior citizens who are usually living on fixed incomes.
Very cute place with a nifty jukebox! The regular ice cream is apparently really good according to the bf, but the homemade dairy free ice cream needs some work....it tastes a lot like ice without the cream. However, I do encourage everyone to swing by this little gem and try the ice cream for themselves. The prices are pretty amazing and they also sell pints! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they make you feel welcome .
This was the worst breakfast I ever had in my life. My cousin lives here in this cute lil town of Cohoes. Several of us drove him back home from Philly. He recommended this place!!!! Omg!!!! The worst egg French toast, no cream no milk ,no vanilla, just thin white bread dipped in egg, fried and sprinkled with cinnamon. They served my cousin NaNa a vegetable omelette it had onions and cheese. No vegetables. Then they added tomatoes to the new veggie But they scrambled the first order of eggs with the new order. I order link pork sausage. They gave me brown and serve and said they made them from scratch. They gave one cousin 2 slices of bacon and the other cousin 1 slice of bacon but an order is 4 slices of bacon. All of us ordered the French toast. The waitress was a mature woman with beautiful gray hair. She didn’t bring my second cup of coffee until 20 minutes later. The owner/cook defended her food. She wanted us to pay $60. I said we will pay something but it won’t be $60. My cousin Tevern was treating us. So she gave the money to Reg and he put $30 on the counter and we left.
Really cute spot! Chicken and rice soup and chili were very good.
I went there to get last minute gifts and was so impressed. The staff were so nice, it's a very comfortable, clean place and very reasonable prices. I love the juke box and old school feel. I definitely will return and hope this is q business that will be around for awhile.
Best ice cream soups sandwiches and daily specials around. The staff is top notch.our. prices are beyond reasonable. Yall need to check sweet happy days out.
I love this place. Strangely enough the ice cream is a bonus. It's all the little extra homemade items that make it great. Brenda makes awesome soup and lunch. This woman does so much and have yet to try anything I haven't liked.
I have to say Brenda is one of the nicest people I know. Her food is so delicious. Everything is homemade. And you cant beat the prices. The Christmas cookies she made for a sick little boy put such a smile on his little face. Thank you Brenda so very much.
What a gem of a place! The ice cream was so yummy, and there were so many yummy treats. I loved the cozy vibe, both inside and out! This place is great for kids, families, and fun dates. It's located right by a cute park with lots of seating. Definitely check this place out this summer!!
Good ice cream and not as expensive as other places around. Also have nice indoor seating and good non ice cream snacks. The cookies in particular are great! They even gave a free sample of the cookies which was a nice touch. I’ll be back here again!
