Old Hickory Bar B-Q on Woodman

I have eaten here a few times in the past. The people at the counter are always friendly and helpful. Kinda small place on the inside but clean. I always get mine to go and it is ready when I get there. Today I got pulled pork, beans and potato salad. Pork was the best. Very tender with good flavor in the sauce. Beans are average to pretty good. Potato salad has cheese and bacon. Pretty good as well. Come in and check them out. All this for lunch for around $7.

So the woman who took our order was extremely friendly and sweet. We spent close to 70 dollars and the ribs looked like they came from a school cafeteria or a frozen dinner. Hardly any meat on them at all. However their bbq chicken was to die for. The fries were good. The pulled pork sandwiches, green beans , and corn were nothing to write home about. I'm no critic but I know my taste buds and that was a no for me. However the place seemed to be hopping so everyone must be there for the chicken lol. Just kidding.

I love this location especially if you order ahead for pickup. The food is excellent. The staff are very kind at polite. The prices are average. Although I can't say I dined in I've always gotten my food to go. But I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.Food: 5/5

Melvin Mills is my name. I ordered the Wednesday special and I was told you ran out of ribs after my first order was messed up. Then I was hung up on. Called today to talk to a manager and was asked what was she supposed to do about it. I eat here twice a week. I will never bring my business back to you again. Service and management was rude and how does a BBQ rib restaurant run out of ribs. I didn't eat anything last night because you kept messing up my order then ran out of food. Very dissatisfied with my experience. Male is who I spoke to last night and female this morning. Both were very rude. Will never return and this was one of my favorite places to go twice a week. Lost a valued customer definitely. A veteran at that.

I love this place the food is great but went there today and was so disappointed at the help they had in there the girl who answered phones in there today 6/8/23 at 1130 was rude and went I went to pick up food she took my money and just because I didn't tip she skipped me now I am waiting a total of 50 minutes just because of her laziness she thought it was funny but the manager saved it she came out and apologized but. I would fire her!!!!! She doesn't realize that we r customers we keep the place open. So I will not go back there as long as she is working sorry for the rant.

This is a small 8 booth eat in diner. The portions is worth the money. Staff is friendly and helpful. You can call in and order. Your choice. They have their own sauce. I recommend Trying them .

The ribs were tender and delicious, however I did not feel very welcome in the Riverside location.Food: 5/5

Haven't eaten there in several years, went in this eve and although we were told the dining room was closed, the manager James accommodated us very nicely to allow us to eat our food there! The food was delicious and we were very appreciative of the great service provided by James! Will definitely go back again soon!

I’ve visited this establishment many times coming from UD area and my order is always complete except for today None of the condiments were included butter, sour cream and hot sauce. Talked to manager and was told I could come back and get it and since the condiments are “free” she couldn’t offer a discount meal for my inconvenience. Who wants a “dry” baked potato??? I don’t! Like McDonald’s, check your order before pulling off drive thru!

Been awhile since I've been to this establishment. Prices are still reasonable for the portions they provide. The food arrived to the table in a reasonable time from ordering hot and fresh with great presentation. I definitely plan to revisit again soon when I can choose from the full menu and try some other selections. Parking: Plenty of parking availability.
