Olde Town is the city’s downtown district, with a turn-of-the-century Main Street Americana ambiance, It is the heart of Arvada, with lots of shops, boutiques, galleries, events, restaurants, breweries and a winery, Olde Town has something for everyone. After the discovery of gold, the town grew as railroad and trolley lines from Denver were built and agriculture thrived. Olde Town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is both a vibrant and growing district and a historic gem.
In 2014, the business and property owners in conjunction with The City of Arvada, created the Olde Town Arvada Business Improvement District (BID). The BID is funded through an 8.5 mill levy on all commercial properties within the district along with a grant from the city. The district is generally bordered on the north by Ralston Road, the south by Grandview Avenue, the east by Teller Street and the west by Yukon Street.
The BID’s operating plan focuses on advocacy, marketing and events, placemaking, mobility, physical improvements and safety.
