Olde Tyme Restaurant On The Square

I really wanted to like this place. I love he atmosphere and the wait staff was really nice but the food that was brought out to us was just bad. I ordered eggs over easy and they came out way over done. I can count the number of potato pieces that made up my hashbrown. My husbands meal was just as bad. Small order of potatoes. We were just passing through town on a trip and hoped to get a good meal. Perhaps they were just too busy. It took over 45 mins to get our food.

Food was sparse, mediocre, and overpriced for what we got. Both ordered sandwiches were extremely thin. The cheese on the Philly Cheese Steak was obviously white American packaged slices and wasn't even melted. Never coming back.

Wow great place. Smells a bit funny inside but easy to dill with. Food is great and the coffee is too. *The vinegar pie* it shocked me how good it was. Very friendly and enjoyable experience.

Amazing breakfast. Quick, made from scratch, and large portions. It was more than i could eat and wait staff was very friendly.

Excellent service. Prices are good. The food is consistently prepared. My only beef is that their mashed potatoes always taste like they are instant or boxed. THE ONLY PLACE IN MOUNTAIN HOME TO SERVE Rocky Mountain Oysters! Very delicious! :D

Sad to hear that Fire destroyed this well loved family restaurant on the square last night. We loved going here for breakfast & the home town flavor didn't disappoint. We have some good memories & enjoyed some good food especially the pies. Grateful to the Mountain Home Fire Department for their role in containing the fire & keeping it from spreading. I do hope the owners will rebuild if possible and wish all the employees, owners our best as they process this loss of a job & business. It will be missed... From what I was told No Injuries to any firefighters or others which in itself a Blessing from this tragic event.

Great place for breakfast or lunch! Friendly staff, very reasonably priced and a wide selection of menu to pick from. Also, breakfast all day. It's my wife and I favorite place to eat breakfast in town. And also don't forget to try their vinegar pie! Very good!!

Saw this place by accident and was so glad we dId. We wanted good home cooking and this place had just that. You will not be disappointed at all. Food, service and price are all excellent. Will always eat there when we come to Mt. Home!
