We've been on the road full time RV'ing for the past year. We've eaten at a LOT of different restaurants across 15 states. My family & I all agreed that this was THE WORST meal we've eaten in the past year. : My husband ordered boiled shrimp that apparently was cooked in cloves ?. I ordered the fried fish & shrimp plate with a baked potato & salad. The fish tasted like dirt, the shrimp tasted like bleach. The salad was a bagged salad with imitation shredded cheese on top & the ranch almost made me gag. I was holding out hope that the baked potato would be palatable, but alas, again, it tasted like dirt. I have no idea what is going on their kitchen, but my husband stuck his head in to look as we were leaving. The kitchen is absolutely disgusting!!! Please dont waste your money at Ol'Hickory. Head across the bridge to Rhett's where we ate dinner last night. IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!
The food quality was absolutely horrible. The boiled shrimp was old, the corn was overcooked, and the potatoes tasted like they were boiled in dirty water.Food: 1/5
This is a great place to come eat. Love their fry fish plate and the best cole slaw. A lot of times, I will just go to the drive-thru and pick up.
It was a very good experience. They have Shelby working and she is awesome.Food: 4/5
Ordered a combo platters. Shrimp was burnt couldn't eat em. Fish didn't taste all that great plus couldn't tell if it was catfish no seasoning on boiled shrimp at all but the service was friendly that's it.
Hidden gem in Farmerville! Weekend buffet best value around. Fried catfish legendary!
Had the BBQ sandwich and Seafood Platter that included catfish filets, fried oysters, shrimp, and a stuffed crab shell. Both came with fries even tho the menu stated the BBQ sandwich would not have fries. BBQ sandwich was okay but the seafood platter outstanding! We'll definitely go back and share the seafood platter.
Went during lunch. Plate lunches were good- pork loin, cabbage, butter beans, and fried cornbread. Only had coconut pie though for lunch, which I don't like. Waitress very good and friendly.
This used to be my favorite place around. They had the best fish and shrimp! Yesterday when we first got there the buffet was cold. My husband and son ordered a Philly cheesesteak po boy and a shrimp po boy. 40 minutes later an ice cold Philly cheesesteak po boy and an ice cold catfish po boy was served to them. My son didn't even get what he ordered. When I told the waitress she said it wasn't much she could do and I could tell the manager. I asked if she would get her and was told she doesn't come out or do that. I went and told her and she asked if I wasn't going to pay for it. Ummm no. She did take it off the bill. It definitely wasn't worth the 67 dollars for 3 buffets and 5 drinks. I was told all the manager cared about was her dollars. With service like this you're definitely going to be losing some. The last few times have been awful but last night was the final straw. It's a shame because that buffet used to be the best around.
