I've been craving Olive Garden for a while so we drove out of our way to this location for a little birthday celebrating. The food was great as always the server was incredible, I regret not writing down his name but he was a young man with braces. He was clearly covering many tables and our wait was a little long at no fault of his but he remembered every thing we asked even small details and was so nice when bringing me out a birthday dessert. The food was incredible as always and filled the craving I had had for so long
Ate dinner here last night. Service was very good. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. However our food was awful. My ravioli tasted terrible. The meat sauce was not good. Tasted “old”. Like it just was heated up from the freezer or leftover from several nights ago. One friend had stomach issues almost immediately after eating. Her daughter threw up later that night. Had not eaten at an Olive Garden in a while. Don’t plan on going back anytime soon.
Where to start. The waitress was not very nice. For some reason she just did not like us. I asked for soup and said if i try to eat my husband salad then i will be charged. Cause they charge per person. Then when my soup came out she looked to see if I was eating my husband salad. She didn’t asked if i wanted any cheese on my soup and only asked if my husband wanted cheese on his spaghetti. So no tip for her. I had to get the manager to assist us.
TLDR: The place is not clean at all, and the wait staff was extremely slow and unfriendly. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted by the hostess and seated. However, the table we were given wasn't super gross but not clean either. The fake plant next to us was covered in a thick coat of dust, and the touch screen device had a small bit of noodle from someone else's dinner stuck to it. Despite our initial thoughts of leaving, my wife and I decided to stay. We ordered waters, which took forever to come out, followed by our entrees, which took over 25 minutes to be delivered. This place was dead, and two waitresses were gossiping about their lives and work within five feet of us. The waitress only checked on us twice during the 45 minutes we were at Olive Garden. My wife went to the restroom and mentioned that two of the staff exited a stall without washing their hands, which is also gross. I used the mens restroom and found the place to be destroyed, see pics. The food seemed fine and was affordable, but with all the other factors considered, unless changes are made, we're not sure if we'll be back to this location. The place needs a deep cleaning, staff need to be trained on personal hygiene, and improvements need to be made.
Restaurant is dated and could use a good cleaning. Glass & mirrors and even the cloth seat my wife was sitting on , had not been cleaned in a long time. We where suppose to get endless soup or salad but it was only offered after we mentioned it . And they were putting the main course down on the table. Our waitress was very nice and friendly . So I added a few stars for service.
It was okay. It wasn't nearly as good as it was say 10 years ago. They've taken most of the really good dishes off the menu. In fact, the last time we went, I had three favorite dishes at the Olive garden and I hadn't been there in probably 2 years. Not one of those dishes was still on the menu and all of the higher end dishes are gone. Now it's all about the cheap All you can eat pasta. It's okay, but it's nothing to write home about.
It's sit down fast-food Italian... every restaurant looks the same, menu items are the same, the only thing that sets one experience different than any other one is the server and the service. And the Olive Garden in Fairview Heights, IL consistently hits a home run in that area. We had a great server who brought our drinks out with bread sticks that were still warm. Brought out a huge salad and our two bowls of soup and more bread. Then came by to ask if we wanted more soup... then brought out our main dishes with fresh bread sticks, and then brought out boxes to go with more bread sticks for home. And when she gave us our check, she had two hands full of their chocolate mints. She was amazing!!! I only wish I had her name to put in this review. Vegetarian options: They had a number of vegetarian choices on the menu. Dietary restrictions: They do have some gluten-free pastas, but not a whole lot. Parking: They have a big lot, but not a lot of handicapped parking, but it could have been the time of day we went also. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids' menu with food choices and a coloring sheet with Crayons.
Had a great time on Mother's Day. Good food and a great staff. Our server was truly amazing and very accommodating! Two thumbs up for him. The wait for a table was about 30-40 minutes. We were able to sit at the bar to wait. Have food allergy. Was very impressed that my dish was brought out separately. Overall, my mom enjoyed herself.
Food was gud nd hot. Waitress was great. Water in IL is trash tho. And the rum punch was fire. Happy bday mommaFood: 4/5
We had a reservation and still did not get in when we should have but the server we had..Ms K the bartender..was the best I've ever had!! She was great and very helpful!! We were impressed about how she made everything so quick and easy for us! We did not wait long on our food and she kept our drinks and table full at all times!! We tipped her very well cause she deserved it..when we go back we will ask for her specifically!! Also the food was so good and very fresh hats off to Olive Garden for making my Mother's Days a great one Dietary restrictions: They had how many calories each dish had on the menu I thought that was very smart and helpful! Parking: They are so busy that the parking lot stays full but for them this is a good thing but for a potential customer the wait time can be difficult but we'll worth it I promise you Wheelchair accessibility: There are not that many spaces so if you're handicapped it will hard to get a space it might be a wait
