Oliver Day School is a small daycare and preschool located in East Providence, Rhode Island. We offer infant, toddler, and preschool programs.
Our day care center provides a healthy and safe environment while promoting the growth and health of our young children. Our teachers implement an age appropriate curriculum that is reinforced through our different learning centers, which include math, science, reading, dramatic play, puzzles, blocks, games, and music.
Our philosophy is to maintain a healthy and safe learning environment for all of our children. It is our sincere desire to foster their social, emotional, and intellectual growth through positive reinforcement and understanding their needs.
We want all of our children to graduate from our school with a love of learning and a readiness to continue to succeed.
Our infant program is designed to be a supportive, educational and nurturing environment. Our infants are able to explore their surroundings by playing with developmentally appropriate toys, while dedicated teachers tend to their specific needs. Babies experience positive social interactions with one another, teachers read books, and participate in small group activities.
Our toddler program is designed to nurture children’s curiosity, while teaching positive social interactions. Our toddler classroom encourages stimulating learning through free group play, structured activities, music, songs, stories and games; all of which foster early language development, social skills, structure and consistency.
Our preschool classroom encourages individuality, while meeting the child’s social, emotional and intellectual needs. Through our curriculum, children continue to learn positive social skills, and thinking skills. Teachers work to create a structured hands-on learning environment that is both interesting and exciting while preparing children for kindergarten.
