For high school leagues, they were very organized and prepared for 2 -3 hours of bowling at full capacity. Operation of the lane machines were fantastic with no issues causing delay.
I'm a senior, 75 years old, who was looking for a low key bowling league. I found a really fun one that met that parameter at Olivette Lanes. This is about as stress free as it gets. For starters, I didn't have to wait for the next "bowling season." I emailed the bowling alley and they said they had a seniors league that meets on Wednesdays, and to just show up at noon whenever I wanted to start. I went the following Wednesday and spoke with "Miss Mel" at the counter. It was just $7 for 3 games and she signed me up and told me I'd be on lane 4. I changed into my bowling shoes and put my ball on the rack. Shortly thereafter, a man named Jim showed up and then a woman named Ruby. They were my "teammates." Now for the zero stress part. It's a "just for fun" league. You don't compete against any other teams, you just bowl for fun. They don't put out weekly stat sheets, and there's zero pressure to score high games - just what you put on yourself to meet your expectations. The reason the bowling cost is so low is that they don't give out prize money, however, there are many ways to win money. If a purple pin appears in the number 1 slot and you knock it down on your first turn you get a quarter. If you score a strike with the purple pin in front you get 50 cents. I know it's not much, but it's fun to win those quarters. They also sell 50/50 tickets and call out the winning numbers throughout the afternoon, another chance to win some money. Some of the bowlers do poker. You pay $3 into the pot, and get a card for each strike or spare. At the end of the game the winner is the person with the best poker hand. The people I have met so far have all been super nice, and I felt comfortable right away. The staff are all very nice as well. That's why I keep coming back week after week. When you bowl lousy people commiserate with you, and when you do well they cheer you on.
This is a great bowling alley. Very clean. All equipment is kept in good working order. The staff is so nice, responsive, and very helpful.

We had our company outing and Don was extremely helpful in getting it setup and answering my questions. Mel was the hostess with the mostest and kept our team laughing.
Clean, well maintained, great management. Food is great, good prices. All around a great time!
This is a midcentury gem in between U. City and Ladue. My son 7 loves this place and we had his birthday party here. IT WAS EPIC. Kids at school are still talking about it so *PARENTS* - if you're looking for a party spot - i highly recommend. They handle everything and have a concierge waiting for you on the day to attend to everything. Nick, our concierge, was PHENOMENAL! And they have fried pickles on the menu so just a must do for all ages!
We had a ball on my husband birthday the food wasn't bad either. My favorite was the pizza and mini tacos.The establishment was clean and the staff is very friendly can't wait to go back
Food was average. Not bad. The staff were very attentive. We had several things happen in the lanes, loose pin, stuck frame and someone came over immediately and fixed it. The downside was that we paid for a two hour block of time for two lanes. 3/4 of the way through, this company started having their annual Holiday party along with someone speaking very loudly with a microphone. It was very loud and took over the entire atmosphere. I did not appreciate that at all. Everyone else there paid to come and have a good time, visiting with each other. We could barely hear each other.
Came for my daughter 5th birthday party. Highly recommend. Birthday package was very reasonably priced and not to mention the party host was fantastic! She was so fast and made sure we had everything we needed. I had late guest show at several different times and before I could greet them, she was bringing their shoes and adding then to our lanes. I took a chance because it was my first time here but this will be somewhere we visit more frequently. Thanks for making my daughters day!
