To lose my front teeth has been a traumatic experience! I had my dentist take impressions of my mouth to get dentures. Olson Dental Laboratory made my dentures not once but two unsucessful times. These are my front teeth. If any thing, this experience left me feeling insecure and self-conscious of my over all smile. The first set - my front tooth was extremely large and it did NOT match my other teeth. I left the dentist in tears!! My dentist requested another to be made... finally the second arrived - and NOW the denture is too large and my denture teeth do NOT align my own teeth. It is extremely uncomfortable as I now talk with a lisp. I am a teacher. I talk all day long! I cannot image returing to work in such discomfort! My dentist has informed me that nothing can be done! Worst news.... my insurance does NOT cover dentures. I had to pay for this out of pocket which really upset me even more to be stuck with something that have been an utterly disappointing experience, leaving me refusing to smile.
I have been using them for years exclusively. They will do their best to satisfy the dentist and their patients. Customer service is outstanding.
Just had a custom shading done on a crown right in the front. Olson did a superb job on matching my other tooth. They were very professional and I was extremely satisfied when the crown was fitted in my mouth by my dentist. I had to take my granddaughter with me when I had the custom shading done at the lab, and they even gave her crayons and a coloring book to keep her busy! Olson is a very fine organization!
Appointment 9:30 am July 15. Long story, sorry. Rudest woman I have ever met. Went in for a shade match for some crowns that I am having done. Apparently there was a miscommunication with the dentist office and they already received the completed crowns before I did the color match. No big deal, let’s just do the color match and see if what was sent over is at least close. I let the woman Becky maybe, can’t remember know that I have been whitening my teeth in preparation for the color match, as I would like the completed front crowns to look nice and white when they’re finished. She proceeds to tell me that I must have a hard time following directions because you should never whiten after your crowns are made. I politely remind her that the crowns are NOT supposed to be completed yet, hence why I am currently at the appointment for the color match and there is no reason not to whiten as long as it’s prior to the color match appointment. A couple minutes go by, she finishes up the match and I ask if it’s close to the color they made the crowns that they already sent over. She then says, “obviously not since you decided to not communicate with your dentist and whiten your teeth after your crowns were made.” It goes without saying that I again reminded her the crows should be shaded AFTER a color match appointment not before, but who I am to use reason and logic on this consummate professional. Despite the rudeness, I thanked her and left to call my dentist. They were apologetic for the mistake and said if the crowns they were sent are not close to the color match they have no problem having them re-shaded. Crossing my fingers I don’t have to deal with Olson Dental Lab ever again.
I went in for a crown custom color match after first crown had a grey hue. Stuff happens so I wasn’t super upset after first error. Second crown was put in and “custom” color is not close to my other teeth. It’s definitely more white and now it looks like “before” picture of something that you would go and get replaced. I had some work done many years ago and they did good job, but now, wth? How many custom matches does it take? I will be contacting them to see if they can fix it.
I am a dentist who has worked with Olson Lab for many years. They will do anything to make a situation correct. They have made my life much easier because their work is so good and goes in the mouth correctly almost always. Sometimes teeth move and no one can do anything about that except make the proper adjustment. As far as shade, miscommunications happen from either side once in awhile, thats just human nature. But this lab will always work to make things right for everyone! I give them 5 stars!
