ODFL builds small-scale infrastructure projects in developing countries, from donations as small as $1. It’s a “Change the World” idea, THAT’S WORKING!
ODFL was founded in 2006 by students and teachers at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, California. They wanted a project where everyone could contribute and the effect would be big and lasting. Since then, more than 100,000 students have given a dollar and ODFL has built over 94 projects in 9 countries.
Here's a list of all completed projects since 2007 http://odfl.org/allprojects/
Our mission is to create a generation of Bigger People who can bring forth a Better World. We want people—millions of them—who are empowered to create constructive global change. We want a generation of students who are connected to their world, compassionate, cooperative, competent, and creative. If we can cultivate these traits in millions of young people, the better world we’ve all longed for (but scarcely believed was possible) WILL come about.
How big can it be? There are more than 30 million students in America. If each one gave just one dollar, we could build more than 1,000 schools every year in the developing world. It is, literally, a “change the world” idea, and there are no new laws of physics that need to be discovered. How many ideas do you know of that are so simple, yet so powerful? If YOU want to change the world, JOIN US!
