Open Mike at Brewed Awakenings Cafe

Really great experience. We stopped here for a cup of coffee on a weekend. It’s a really spacious place with lots of different options for more businesslike conversations or relaxed reading or just catching up with your friends. The staff here are really great, attentive and friendly they made ordering really easy. The coffee is excellent with lots of selections to choose from. That’s probably the most important thing since it’s so hard to get a good cup of java anywhere these days that isn’t a big chain establishment. They’ve even got a little shelf of books to purchase from local authors and lots of information on local activities. It’s really affirming to see the pictures and thank you messages from so many years of local kids sports leagues that they have supported. A really great community establishment worthy of your patronage.

Love this local coffee house! You can sit by the fireplace in comfy chairs. I tried the snickerdoodle drink today and it tasted heavenly. I also love that you can order your drink in a reusable mug. Thanks for opening on a snow day too!

Update 7/25/23: This is still my favorite cafe in the greater AA area! This large cafe has homey, approachable vibes rather than trendy or pretentious ones. Solidly good food and drinks and such friendly service and friendly atmosphere!! They support local businesses, and I do, too! Parking is a bit of a mess right now, because the landlord of the place is constructing some new stores in the out-lot, and half the lot is fenced off. This is, of course, not the fault of this business at all. Previous review in 2022: Lovely independently run café that serves delicious home baked treats and offers very affordable breakfast sandwiches all day plus soups salads fruit cups and even an array of gluten-free choices in their cooler. Some favorites are the chocolate chip cookie the apricot oatmeal cookie and the peanut butter bar. Iced espresso drinks are delicious, too. They offer a full menu of sandwiches as well so it's a good spot for a lunch date. Now with post Covid shelter in place/indoor area closures, they have outdoor seating and indoor very socially distanced seating. Very friendly servers and baristas. A Saline/ Pittsfield neighborhood gem. Update: they carry a lot of gluten free options, something I really have come to appreciate after developing some food intolerances. You can pay a dollar to switch to gluten free bread. They let you do exchanges for cheese to tomato, hummus, or guacamole. They label soups as gluten-free, or vegetarian. Finding out if things are dairy free or vegan is a little bit more work, but they have a book with the ingredients to the dishes available upon request. They also offer a selection of individually wrapped desserts in the cooler such as cookies and fruit bars that are all gluten-free and top eight allergen free made by Tasty Bakery in AA. Yum.

One of my favorite spots in Saline. The friendliest staff, tastiest treats, and all the coffee options you could hope for. Perfect for a quick stop on the way to work, but plenty of space to sit and enjoy the small town coffee shop vibes. Never a disappointing experience at Brewed Awakenings.

5 out of 5 Stars. Quite like this place, it’s always been packed when we come. The panini sandwiches are excellent. Great service. Recommends: I like the tuna sandwich, I haven’t settled on a drink I have fallen in love with yet but will update once I try enough and find one that is my favorite. Conclusion: Like the place will definitely be back. Nice place for Sunday.

Nice quiet coffee shop, a great alternative to the busy overpriced chains. Quick friendly service, delicious coffee. A little hard to see from the main road, but easy to get to once you know where to go. They also support local authors and artisans which is awesome.

Brewed awakenings. Please put the to go orders near the door so you can grab and go. It sucks when you're in a hurry to stand in line for 5 to 10 minutes just to ask for the bag that's sitting a few feet away. Thank you for the response. I did go to the other end of the counter today and was told by that person not to do that anymore and to stand in line that is why I posted. But I will continue to do that and thank you!
