Open MRI of McAllen

All MRIs are like being put inside a 55 gal drum with a table too close to your face while somebody randomly smacks out rhythms on the outside with a baseball bat. For 20 minutes. So relax and practice your breathing. What makes this place different is the staff. The night receptionist was really sweet and delightful. The tech was calm and reassuring. I asked him to call out the time to me, and it helped to know there was 10 minutes, 6 minutes left.

I’d like to start off by saying that when it comes to medical appointments, delays are to be expected due—staff can and will be short staffed due to COVID, equipment can slow down if there’s not enough time in between patients to clean out the drive, and patients don’t always show up on time. Open MRI has been doing AMAZING with cleanliness. The lobby and waiting areas are never neglected, there’s a dispensary water fountain with organized cups, laundry is conducted 3-4 times a day—the washer and dryer are always on, and the restrooms smell as clean as they look—It’s greatly appreciated when you can conduct your business in a clean restroom. The reception area has comfortable chairs to sit on while you’re scheduling your appointment! I have yet to run into a problem with a receptionist, as they have been respectful and courteous. Each of which dresses professional, which is another thing to note because not very many people do these days. The staff that work with CT, MRI, Mammo, and US are constantly moving. They’re walking in and out of that office and tend to their patients in a timely manner. Respect and patience is what they project. It’s nice when you come across such a courteous staff! I will gladly have my friends and family seen at this location! In fact, I strongly recommend it.

This was my 1st time at this location. I went in for a mammogram. I was scared and anxious due to feedback of friends'/families' personal experiences getting theirs done. I was greeted with professionalism, respect and wonderful courtesy. When the door opened in the mammogram room I saw the huge machine, which was quite scary. I was asked to sit down for the routine questions. As I sat n looked around, the lighting felt so warm and welcoming. The art work in the room was exquisitely themed for the room. Such great work of art depicting female images with poses embracing the actual procedure. They were stunning and gave a sense of peace and relaxation. The whole room's ambiance allowed for the release of any anxiousness and makes one feel at ease. The technician was gentle and caring as she performed the positioning and scanning process which showed her high level of expertise. I walked out confident that I had received the most thorough service and care available. I was informed of the timeframe espected for test results. The scheduling of appointments was easy and quick, no hassle. Wait time is appropriate. I will definitely return for future procedures needed and will recommend this location to friends and family.

If you have any imaging needs, this is the place to go. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I was in and out within an hour or so. Thank you guys

My experience with the staff at Open MRI was nothing short of outstanding! I was very well informed from my appointment set up all the way to the end of my exam. The staff was so courteous, attentive and professional. Hard to imagine any better service than that!!

Staff was very welcoming and helpful!!! I called to see their availability and was able to get an appointment later on that same day! I was even able to make it after work, which is so rare because most offices close by 5!! When I made my appointment they informed me of everything I needed to do before hand and even called to remind me an hour before! Exceptional service! Would definitely recommend Open MRI!!!

The service is good, but they always change the scheduled appointments after 10:00PM, this is because they care more for clients that pay them directly, and not for clients that have the service via insurance; and they say the same thing, that something will be under maintenance, and that's why they have to re schedule your appointment. Business is business. So sad

Appointment was available right away! They informed me of all requirements, continued to call me to remind me. Got there at 0900 and exam began at 0930 with sign up process included. Staff is so nice! I had a great experience.

Had my mammogram at Open MRI of McAllen, and things went so smoothly. From the time you enter the facility, to the actual appointment, to scheduling a follow-up, everything was very professional. The tech made me feel extremely comfortable, even though I was nervous before going in. Very nice atmosphere, and very professional staff. Would highly recommend Open MRI of McAllen.

Had an appointment for a mammogram at 8 AM. At 8:50 AM still was waiting to have the exam. I do not appreciate businesses where appointments are not honored.
