Opportunity Bank of Montana was founded in 1922 in Helena, Montana as a Montana chartered building and loan association. In 1975, the Bank adopted a federal thrift charter. The Bank still maintains its headquarters and two other branches in Helena, with additional branches in Billings, Big Timber, Bozeman (2), Butte, Hamilton, Livingston, Missoula (2), and Townsend, Montana. The Bank offers commercial, residential and consumer loans. The Bank’s principal business is accepting deposits and, together with funds generated from operations and borrowings, investing in various types of loans and securities. Eagle Bancorp Montana, Inc. [EMBT], is the holding company of Opportunity Bank of Montana.
