Worst care ever! Would not recommend this place to anyone. When my mom was in the hospital we would have people from hospice come in and talk to us about their care and how my mom would be better if she went home on hospice. Everything they said sounded great and made us think she would be better living her last days at home. So we took her home. We were told a nurse would be going to my moms house every morning at 8am. Tell me why that first morning my mom was home on hospice I had to call at 11am asking where was the nurse? Her name is Felicia by the way, the other nurse who spoke nothing but good things to us about optimal was Roberto. My moms blood sugar was always controlled at the hospital and the first day at home her blood sugar was above 250. so when I called, I let them know I was going to call the ambulance and they told me not to do so. They told me over the phone that there was a change of schedule and as soon as a nurse was available they would send her over to my moms house. You think I was going to stand there and wait? Hell no. Trust me, compared to the care she received she was better off at the hospital, where she actually passed away. She did not want anything to do with hospice anymore and decided the day she was admitted back into the hospital that she would rather live her last days there.
They did not tell the truth and they had us assist in the attempted death of my father who is still alive today. I would not recommend this place to a dog. They were not available as they said they would be and pressured us into making a decision without all the information needed to make such a decision. They inaccurately left instructions for administration of medications that could have killed him while telling us they were sedating him. The dosage being wrong. All in all they were cold and not very helpful to us in the care of my Dad. I am not a child I am stating what I seen and took several days to process.
My loved one received the worst care ever from this company! Unfortunately I have had to work with several hospice companies over the past 7 years and this one is the only one i have any complaints about.They are unloving, uncaring, not attentive to the patients emotional needs nor their physical discomfort and pain. They did not respond quickly to requests needing their help or assistance. They were also not in tune with the care givers emotional needs either. Do not put your family through the misery of using this company that is truly not qualified to properly support families, nor lovingly care for your family member in the last days of their lives. I truly regret having initially chosen this company!
