"Formerly Optometric Vision Care Associates Amplify EyeCare of Greater Long Beach is under the leadership of Dr. Eric Ikeda FCOVD. Our optometry office specializes in behavioral-optometry and neuro-optometry for issues ranging from developmental to concussions in traumatic brain injuries. We provide full scope eyecare for all ages including eye exams, contact lens exams, low vision care, myopia management, dry eye treatment, medical eyecare, and emergency eye exams."

This office was referred because of my double vision issue. I felt that Dr. Ikeda did a thorough examination and got me started on vision therapy. Cheryl, the vision therapist is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. She has many apparatus and tools for treating varies vision issues. I would recommend this office for any vision issues.
I’m so happy I hound this Optometrist. Dr Woo is AMAZING! The whole office staff is beyond friendly and helpful! Very thorough eye exam and modern equipment. My family found our new home for our eyes.
I want to start my saying my family and I have been coming to this Optomitrist office for over 15 years. We started with Dr. King who was lovely. Today was a not so great experience. I called to make my mother an appointment and was told she was not in their system. I repeated my mother's personal information and my mom was still not found in their system the employee even told me she had her manager check and she also couldnt find my mom. I told the employee if I could just get an appointment for my mother and she placed me on hold to get the manager. The manager bluntly told me my mom was not in the system in other words basically called me a liar telling me they have never encountered this type of issue of not finding someone in their system who has been there before . At this point I was getting REALLY irritated and asked her what the issue was ? Was my mom not able to get an appointment? The manager ended up telling me my mom would have to fill out some paperwork to be seen which I did not mind at all . It took me 17 minutes of the employee and the manager insinuating I was lying for me to get a simple appointment for my mom for the same day. As we were leaving her appointment I asked the front desk if I could make an appointment for my daughter my dad and myself. I was again told she could not find my dad. I told her , we have ALL gone there before and this is not the 1st time they can't find one of my family members. They did the same thing with my sister and later ended up finding her. After saying that , what do you know they found my dad . I don't understand why they couldn't simple have said we can't find your mom in our system but no worries we can add her back in ...easy conversation . Instead of going back and forth with me telling me my mom has NEVER been there before when she clearly has. If it was not for the doctors who are all very nice I definitely would of not be going back. Definitely did not receive good customer service today.
Dr. Woo and the staff were professional and friendly. We didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes once we arrived for our appointments and I appreciate that Dr. Woo took the time to explain things clearly during our exam. Would definitely recommend!
Hi everyone...Before I start my rating, I just want to let everyone know that I never give a 5 star rating on any site because that would imply perfection. And I firmly believe no one person or business is perfect. Now that I got that out of the way, I've been coming to this office for many years now albeit ONCE a year and have always been treated professionally and by friendly staff. I especially enjoy my time with Dr. Sarah Wolf. She is so pleasant, professional, courteus and patient during my eye exam. It is the REAL reason I come back every year LOL!. I will continue to come as long as she is there. Thank you!
My daughter has been seeing Cheryl for vision therapy for 6 months and she is awesome. Her and Dr. Ikeda have many years of experience. Prior to seeing Dr. Ikeda and Cheryl, my daughter had been referred to 3 Ophthalmologists, who didn't recommend anything, except future surgery if it didn't correct itself when she was older. They didn't even recommend vision therapy. As a healthcare provider, surgery should always be a last resort option. My husband was even skeptical when I found Dr. Ikeda. Now, he even believes in vision therapy and we have seen marked improvement in my daughter's eyes. Of course, it's imperative you do the exercises if you want to see the improvement, like anything in life. Thank you Dr. Ikeda and Cheryl!!!
Dr. Ikeda is so personable and thorough in his exam. Oracio was patient and took plenty of time to help me select just the right frame for my new lenses. All this, plus I was seen on time!
My experience at Amplify was wonderful, the staff is most welcoming and Dr. Ikeda is very knowledgeable and goes beyond the parameters of his field. He is open to new research and education in the medical field, allowing him to be at the top of his game as well as evolving through new ideas, experiences and perspectives. In contrast, it remind me of the proverb; “If You Always Do What You've Always Done, You'll Always Get What You've Always Got.” ~ Henry Ford. When it comes to Healthcare it’s nice to support ourselves with like minded providers who flow with the changes of life. Thank you staff and Dr. Ikeda
I had a great experience recently thanks to Horacio and Dr. Ikeda. The selection of eyewear was great and Horacio was so friendly and patient. Dr. Ikeda is the best and I highly recommend him to all my family and friends
This is the best office ever. Staff is very helpful and Dr. Wolff is amazing! Trisha helped me choose from a wide variety of glasses thank goodness because she picked a beautiful frame without her I would have been a mess! Carolyn was also sweet contacted me to let me know when my frames and contacts were ready. I appreciate the schedule flexibility this office offers and their kindness! Everyone is truly here to help YOU! Been and will continue to come here!
