Located in the Lewis Center for Applied Sciences on the Orange Coast College campus, the Aquarium has been a training & educational facility for students.
Originally founded in 1967, the Dennis Kelly Aquarium has gone through many transformations. In 2008, the Dennis Kelly Aquarium was newly renovated and reopened in the Lewis Center for Applied Sciences building, where it currently resides. Since its inception, the aquarium has been instrumental in the training and education of undergraduate marine science students. The aquarium is one of the best educational tools in the Marine Science Department and provides opportunities for students to gain hands on experience with salt water environments, sediment, live fish, invertebrates, and applied chemistry.
