I went to ask about the pricing for a plot. I knocked on the door and no reply even though I could see them looking at me through the window. I gave it time and knocked again. A woman came out asking what I wanted. I just told her I wanted information about plot prizing. She told me she had people and that I would have to wait. I told her it was fine and I was translating what she told me to my dad. She didn’t even let me finish and closed the door in our face. Extremely rude and I wouldn’t recommend.
Very nice place for the price. Very nice place even if you dont look at the price! About a third of the price of most 'nicer' private places but really, this place is as nice as any I have seen. Staff is very good and grounds are kept nice.
My mother wished to be buried in a peaceful and beautiful place near where her daughters live, and we fulfilled her wish and moved her body from another country to here so that she can rest in peace.
Even after a year has gone by, I still feel compelled to return and write my review. I have been really pleased with the services provided at El Toro. I went to three or four cemeteries before choosing El Toro and I still think I made the right choice. Other cemeteries with either outrageously expensive or really just didn't have the right vibe. El Toro has that cemetery "feel" and is very relatively affordable. I picked the most expensive plot, and I still paid a fraction of what I would have paid for a more "average" plot at one of the most expensive cemeteries Fairhaven. Being a publicly operate cemetery really has it's benefits. I have also been pleased with the upkeep and my interactions with the office in the past year. The groundmen were very professional during the service and they took care to make sure the gravesite looked good before leaving it. The park is always well maintained, and I never felt that it needed a cleaning - because it was always clean. After some time, I noticed that there was a bare spot next to my father's gravesite so I asked the office if they could disperse some grass seeds, and the next time I went there one or two weeks later, I was pleased to see that my request had been fulfilled. My experience with El Toro has been nothing but excellent and I can recommend them without reservation for those looking for cemetery services in the Orange County area.
Not recommending to rush right out to use their services... Hopefully you will not need them for quite a while. However if you do, the facilities are great, prices are reasonable and the staff is exceptional!
Update : the old security guard , which his name was Mo is gone & there is wonderful hard working security guard with name of Michael in his place. Now women can feel safer with this nice guy around. The only complain I have about this park is lack of maintenance of park by management. There absolutely not enough staff to take care of park , there is a lot of dry patches spaces that needs to be filled with grass seeds, Not enough watering , and a lot of bad invasive grass like crabgrass that needs to be taken out also. One of BIGEST ISSUES IS THERE IS NO SIGNS ON THE ROADS HERE AS WHERE ,RIGHT SIDE OR LEFT SIDE ,TO PARK. The issue is that some people park on the right side & some on the left side causing the passing through cars not being able to pass through. This has been brought up numerously to management Bud & Tim but they choose to ignore it. The other issue issue is lack of service & cleaning in both Mens & ladies toilets daily, as the both toilets gets very dirty at times .,out of hand soap & toilet stained tissues everywhere on the floor. Apparently there is only cleaning service once a week on Tuesday only.
Really beautiful park. Had to bury my sister at the end of 2020 and as soon as I came across this place we knew this was her new home. You can tell how much love there is all around. My mom goes to visit a couple time a week, once to pick everything up before maintenance and again to places fresh flowers back. I give it three stars because they have a very strict policy of 2 items for each spot. My mom places a bouquet of fresh flowers, a flag with her photo and a cross. Unfortunately this week when she went to pick everything up, it was all gone. Not just on my sisters sight, but everyones. We have no idea where they went. At lease there was nothing too sentimental.
We did mom’s service here. nice place.
I have three loved ones at El Toro Memorial Park. I even have my own "eternal real estate" there. Bud Bales cemetery manager and his staff are compassionate and caring. They know their jobs paperwork/rules/regulations which is so very helpful when a person is going through such a difficult time. The grounds are kept up, look very nice and are peaceful. I love that the park has been around for over 100 years and the first graves are still there. I highly recommend El Toro Memorial Park in your hour of need.
Beautiful location and well maintained. Our customer held funeral services here. A place to consider for you love one. A memory to last forever.
