Orange Vista High School, located at 1400 East Orange Avenue in the city of Perris, plans to be scheduled with freshman and sophomore students for the 2016-2017 school year. This will be Val Verde Unified School District’s third comprehensive high school alongside Rancho Verde High School and Citrus Hill High School. The school will have a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) focus. Students will be offered a variety of academic and career educational programs such as Advanced Placement, Scholars, AVID, visual and performing arts, CIF sports, and Career Technical Education. These programs will work in unison offering students an interdisciplinary applied approach that is coupled with real-world, and problem based learning.
Orange Vista High School will continue focusing on Common Core ELA and Math and implement Next Generation Science Standards as the core base of their STEM initiative.
