I love going to Orangetheory especially at this location. It is my home studio. The coaches offer so much support emotionally and physically. The ppl you meet here become family. The exercises are doable and I love benchmark days.
I love OTF!!! It’s transformed my body lost 9 lbs!!! as well as how I think about my fitness. I was a complete gym newbie when I first started a year ago, but now I can jog at a 4.5/5 as well as row 2000M without any issues. I love the workout templates as well as the coaches. Penni, Mindy, Kristi are the best motivators! Thx for all of the pushes on the tread & floor, and it’s such a great community of those committed to fitness goals. :D
I’ve been attending this studio for 2years and so far it’s the best studio I’ve been to in the Montgomery County area. The coaches are great! They are so supportive of you and your goals; they will cheer you on all throughout your workout! The music/playlists are so good, you’ll want to stop working out and dance instead don’t worry, you still burn calories dancing. Overall the studio is clean. I recommend visiting this studio whenever you get the opportunity.
Not helpful, not aware if the Canadian OT class package works here and how to handle it. I've been told by my local gym that I can use my classes anywhere, so I had 16 classes in my OT account when they let me into the class at this location. After that, without telling me first, they charged me instead of using my already existing classes. I gave them the contact of my studio in Canada. The woman on the phone said she will call to settle it... No callback, they just charged me and that's it. Customer care Level ZERO. I started going to OT 2 months ago and once my package is done I won't be coming back. The number one reason is that I watch people working out with weights without proper form and no one corrects them, so the possibility of you injuring yourself at these classes is very high if you have never worked out with a trainer or learned yourself. This incident is the number 2 reason. Whether my local gym shares misleading information or this one gym just doesn't care about maintaining the customer base of the franchise, either way this is not where I want to spend my money.
OrangeTheory is a great combo of strength + cardio, pre-planned so you can just show up to class, and the heart rate monitor is good feedback on if you’re working too hard or not hard enough. Added bonus the splat points can kinda make a game out of things. All in a high energy positive atmosphere to push yourself. The staff and manager at the Gaithersburg location are very resourceful and put your health and needs first. The manager personally called me to help resolve issues I was having with my account. I would definitely recommend this location!!
I love how I have transformed with OTF mind and body and I stay committed even more with the fantastic coaches and staff at OTF Gaithersburg. I feel so supported. The more I go, the better relationships I build with the members and staff and the more encouragement there is to go around. Thanks!
Over the last 2 years, this place has gotten me into the best shape of my life. The coaches and staff are top notch, and very supportive during your fitness journey. It gives you the personal trainer feel in a group setting, helping you to continue to push yourself to do better. They also dealt very well through the pandemic, making sure everyone was masked when they needed to be, making sure that everyone could work out safely, and making sure that everyone could feel comfortable while doing it. 5/5 would recommend to all!
Be careful with this location and extra charges, especially with sales associate Mickey! I recently relocated to this area for work and was looking forward to trying out a new gym location. I booked my workout and received a notification that I might get charged extra at this location, so if this is the case I will be immediately charged at check in. I completed my workout with no extra charge that day, so I tried out the gym a few more times with confidence that this charge would not apply to me. Randomly a week later I was charged an extra $50 by sales associate Mickey without any conversation or notification. I immediately called the location, and he said that it was my fault for not knowing and was very rude when I tried to ask for help/ an explanation even though I pay the same unlimited member price that this location charges. He simply wanted to make extra commission at my own expense. I will be moving my membership to a different nearby location due to this terrible experience with Mickey and the sales team. Very disappointed and frustrated with OTF Kentlands/ Gaithersburg.
After being a premier member for over a year, I left this studio after a ton of staff turn over. The thing that pushed me over the edge, was when I was filmed while working out by the head coach Penni and it was posted on Instagram. I was filmed exercising for several seconds my face included without being warned or anything and I never gave consent for this being posted on Instagram. I had canceled and was charged for 2 additional months after filling out paperwork. I didn’t go the first entire month so I asked to kindly not be charged the last month because of what happened and they refused.
Wow I just tried to book a class and there is now a $10 surcharge...per class.. guess I won't be visiting so much for "Nationwide studio access". This studio can also use to upgrades, like working microphones for their coaches, broken water dispenser, and it leaks every time it rains! Also, other gyms has larger displays on the treadmills, and the upgraded screens for the rowers. For $179, Members deserves better!!
