I will give this place 2 stars because the workouts are really good and I truly enjoy them. The management is very poor. There have been numerous instances where people have called to cancel classes and no one would answered. Been on a waitlist and added last minute. People don’t live in a world that schedules their life around workouts. It would be an added benefit that is stress free. So let me explain it to you. You pay for a membership that provides you X amount of classes. If you miss, they just take away from the classes I get it punishment for missing a class. Today I missed a class and was charged an additional $12 on top of having a class removed. I am a new mom trying to get back in shape once my membership came unfroze from being pregnant. Constantly worrying about if anything changes you better make sure you call the gym to let them know you won’t be there is ridiculous. I’ve already paid for the class! I know of numerous people who have canceled their membership due to the poor management and it will continue to occur.
I just started going and have only been to 4 classes. Pros: I really enjoy the workouts. It’s always something different and the music is awesome. Good coaches too! I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility and I wish they would sanitize the equipment between classes- after all, we’re still in a pandemic. Cons: When I joined for $109 getting 8 classes a month. They failed to mention that that didn’t include the heart rate monitor. The darn thing cost an additional $10 to rent each class session or $129 to purchase. That hidden costs kind of sucked. The fun part of these classes is getting a chance to compete with others and looking up at the screen and seeing your stats from the heart rate monitor. It’s not as much fun without the heart rate monitor. That’s really what sets this gym apart from all the others is the heart rate tracking and the capability to track calorie loss. I hope this improves. Until then, orange theory will be the Spirit Airlines of Gyms.
I like that I always get a good balanced workout without having to think about it. I just show up and let the coaches tell me what I should do. If I’m not using the right form Coach M&M and Coach Tim will come over and show me how to do it right so I’m working the right target muscle and not injuring myself. The encouragement and “Good Tina” on occasion keeps me motivated. The music keeps me pumped during the cardio time. The structure of the HIIT workouts increase my strength and endurance so I know it’s beneficial for my body and health. I live a busy life and Orangetheory helps me maintain my fitness without having to think about it. You get what you pay for.
I've worked out at this gym for four years and have really enjoyed the people and and coaches. However, over the past year, the ownership has refused to invest in new equipment and the maintenance is suspect at best. The rowers are in bad shape and the treads are to the point of being dangerous. They have hesitated and/or stopped completely 4 of the last 5 times I've been there. Management dismisses it and doesn't do anything to fix the issues. I cancelled my membership today, and I absolutely do not recommend this gym until the equipment is replaced. Paying $170+ per month for subpar equipment is ludicrous. previously I gave the gym a five star rating - no more
Tim does the best floor block! Very friendly gym.
I like that the workouts are versatile, they are challenging without being undoable. I like that they incorporate the treadmill and rower, i feel like I'm activating all my muscles. The music is always motivating, last not least the coaches are always encouraging and pushing us to give our best.
