This place has good creamy ice cream with multiple flavors to choose from. The price is a little high, costing between $6-$12 depending on what you order. The service is less friendly and more business focused. Overall, its an ice cream place you can enjoy with no frills.
If your craving delicious creamy ice cream late in the evening. Then you have to visit Painter's Home Made Icream. Friendly staff, amazing taste, one scoop is not enough. You'll want at least two..Try it and let know what you think.
SUPPORT LOCAL! This has been our favorite ice cream spot in North Myrtle Beach for years now. They make all their ice cream from scratch. They also do banana splits, milkshakes, and more! Home made ice cream! What more needs to be said? We saw the length of the line on our way past it to the Boardwalk area. We absolutely HAD to stop here on our way back and we weren't disappointed! The length of the line was still 20 people deep and had presumably been like that all day, that right there should be testament to the quality of the treaty you're in for. They had around 10-12 flavors I didn't count, each home made that day. Each of us got a different flavor there were 6 of us and we all got a taste of each other's ice creams. Every single one was absolutely creamy and flavorful!
We really enjoyed our ice cream last night. It is very creamy and flavorful. The waffle cones are fresh and the staff gets your order our quickly. It's nice to see 3 grown men putting their all into a business. Not sure it it's theirs , but they sure acted like it was.
We have been here numerous times over the past few years. It is true that the ice cream is good and the flavors are satisfying. Prices have gotten on the expensive side - $5.25 for a single scoop is almost getting price prohibitive. I am rather tired of the attitude of the workers, though. They are always borderline rude and couldn’t care less if I buy their ice cream. I suppose because they’ve been there so long they figure someone’s going to buy it if I don’t. Still, the lack of friendly personalities from the workers makes me question whether this is a go-to destination for us. It’s not the only ice cream in North Myrtle Beach.
Their homemade ice cream is very rich and creamy. None of that icy texture you get at so many places. We tried the fudge ripple, strawberry cheesecake, and butter pecan flavors. Definitely recommend stopping here for a scoop.
Its an old time ice cream shop but the ice cream is amazing. Try this place instead of a big chain. You won't be disappointed.
This place is no longer what it used to be. A single scoop cost $5 and the people who were working the afternoon we went were really unkind. We were the only family there and we felt like we were a burden. The messed up our order and were unwilling to correct it. The vanilla ice cream did not have a flavor. A few of the other flavors we tried were pretty good. We will not return.
