Dr. Michael Joyce is commited to all of his patients. He trained at the finest institutions in the nation. He attended medical school at Washington University, ranked in the top 10 nationally. Dr. Joyce completed a post-doctorate fellowship in the Orthopaedic Research Unit at the Arthritis Institute (NIAMS) of the National Institute of Health. Dr. Joyce spent another year of advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at the prestigious American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, with internationally respected sports medicine expert Dr. James Andrews and Dr. William Clancy, the pioneer of the surgical technique for modern ACL and PCL ligament reconstruction. Dr. Joyce is affiliated with St. Francis Care Hospital, the only hospital in Connecticut listed in the top 100. He is the Orthopaedic Team Physician & Consultant for the University of Connecticut and all UCONN athletics teams. He serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University Connecticut Medical School and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
