The food was not good. The Cuban egg rolls had a nice texture but were pretty bland. My BBQ burger, you could taste the saltiness of the onion ring and essentially nothing else. My wife had salmon and a salad and the salmon was dry. The salad was fine. My daughter liked her macaroni and cheese. The service was terrific but in general the food was really disappointing. This is the first time we've been here in years and I don't think we'll be going back.
Oscar's West has really stepped up their game. The food is delicious. My husband always gets the steak salad. I tried the June special, the turkey pickle wrap. It was a lite but filling wrap. We like the bartenders, they're always friendly. Oscar's is one of our "Go to" spots.Food: 5/5
Nice place! Great place to get a meal near downtown Frederick. Cheese steak sub was very good, loved the queso cheese on it. I had a side of onion rings with it. They were okay but I personally didn't care for the batter they use. Service was decent and prices were in-line with what I expect in Frederick.Food: 5/5
Moved to Frederick over a year ago and FINALLY got to Oscar’s. Good crowd for lunch on a Wednesday, a good indicator of our upcoming experience. I had the California Salad and it “wowed” me. The portion was ample, chicken moist and tasty, toppings fresh black beans, avocado slices, red onion. The Cilantro Lime dressing was so good I want to copycat it at home. My hubby had the Cheesesteak with Onion Rings. He was very pleased with the sandwich; steak tender, sautéed veggies cooked to perfection, and spicy Queso gave the sandwich a nice “kick”. The onion rings were good. Would have sampled an IPA but passed as we travelled there on our bicycles. Will definitely return!
Love, love this place. We went two days in a row. First time, just wife and I for lunch. Her blackened chicken was spot on. I had ribs and they were tender, bone sucking awesome. Our server Jordon was on point and would was reading my mind when I needed refills and or boxes to go. I was so impressed that I put in reservations for 12 of us for Sunday afternoon brunch. Our party of twelve was a nice mix of senior citizens, young folks , young 2 years old and his young parents , old empty Nestor’s and our friends from Africa. We all felt very welcomed. Food was awesome and all the the staff were very friendly and efficient. Lucky for us , Jordan was our service for Sunday we well. Please don’t let surroundings scare you, Oscars is sandwiched between a tattoo shop, dollar general, and salvation armor. When you walk in you are immediately welcomed with friendly and professional staff. This place is the best kept secret in Frederick. Btw, breakfast omelet was grandma approved. My burger and fries were the best.
Excellent! India was lovely, very patient, and helpful. Thank you for the fried shrimp recommendation. The Baja fish tacos with the fresh mango salsa were just what I wanted. Atmosphere was roomy and they even have half a booth. Just watch out for the big red pots .. I hit my head.Food: 5/5
after seeing local FB posts and pics, I stopped in. I met Adrian who was awesome. He helped me with the specials; happy hour food and drinks. There were regulars there who ordered after me and now I have to go back and try what they got! The Monday special burger was delish and I love some homemade hummus!
Love dining at Oscar’s! We’ve never had a bad meal. Our faves are the pretzel with beer cheese, cheesesteak sandwiches, salads, teriyaki steak bowl, and the Oscar’s lemonade!Food: 5/5
I had a delicious burger cooked well done. The fries were nice and crisp, not too heavily salted. I felt like for a lunch the service could have been faster, but it is popular and busygenerally two positives for a restaurant. I love their menu, lots of choices. A colleague got cream of crab soup that looked great. Another colleague had a very nicely presented salad.
Always a great time at Oscar’s. Delicious and reasonably priced food. Honestly, it’s the best meal I have ever had in Frederick! Garrett was our waiter and provided excellent service. Definitely would recommend anyone to try Oscar’s Alehouse.
