Beautiful park and easy trails. 30 minutes drive from Yonkers. Walk 15 minutes you will reach the river site. You can have picnic by the water sitting on the big rock. There's garbage can but people still left garbage behind.
Very pretty park! Looked like there were some trails, we didn't do those this time though. Worth stopping by for a bit to sit and relax, or skip rocks in the bay :
Oscawana is a beautiful nature preserve. It has the most incredible views. The sunsets here are to DIE for! The area is always well kept and the trails are nice, open dawn to dusk there is plenty of time to explore this vast place.
A nice place to take a short walk with your dogs. Parking is convenient. You can take a longer walk through an old estate on one side or a shorter one down to the river. People like to fish here. Unfortunately people sometimes litter by the benches here. My dogs enjoy this walk.
beautiful views of the Hudson river and a nice quick hike
Small park, only went to the Hudson River Side this time. Found it difficult walking on the gravel and stone. Also, very overgrown. But saw 4 or 5 does and three large bucks while walking on the trail. Didn't seem to bother them that people were around them. They were only 15 feet away and went about their business.
A small park but it offers a fantastic view of Haverstraw Bay, the widest point of the entire Hudson River. Just carefully walk your way down the rocks for some serenity by the river and enjoy the view. There is also a marsh here with some benches to sit and relax. Also a delight to hear the diesel trains running through Oscawana tunnel. Eagles are sometimes seen here during the winter.
great place to hike
Loved parking at Oscawana and walking into the McAndrews estate with its historic ruins and quirky private horse racetrack, complete with viewing stand. Signage could be better.
