Oshkosh Fire Department

August 11th I was suffering from a very severe migraine with nausea and vomiting. My parents called 911 and EMT's from the Oshkosh Fire Department responded very quickly. My balance was way off, I was absolutely terrified to get up and walk, extremely weak from the nausea. The responding EMT's took all that into consideration and assisted me to the door, onto a gurney and got me to the hospital in a timely, very courteous manner. Thank you Oshkosh Fire Department and your caring employees.

I would rate Fire Station 15 0 out of 5 if it was allowed. When responding to a call for one of my family members these EMTs were more than unprofessional. They told her it was probably anxiety and/or the flu. I didn’t know magically EMTs can diagnose now without any testing. let’s keep in mind you are not a DR They rolled their eyes and made her walk out of her own home when she could barely even stand and told her it was not a reason to call 911. I have never encountered such unprofessional healthcare workers. If someone is calling you to help them no matter what your thoughts are you help get them to the nearest hospital and keep your thoughts to yourself. And shockingly the family member was not diagnosed with the flu or anxiety.

Had to call 911 for my fiancé for a mini stroke and as they pulled up and got out to walk up to my door one of the E.M.T.s took his medical bag tossed it on ground rolled his eyes as he looked at me as I opened my front door for them to enter my home and then he made the smart remark saying my fiancé had the flu as she can’t walk on her own has uncontrollably shaking and vomiting numbing in her throat and arms. Oshkosh Fire Department is clearly unprofessional and need to re evaluate its employees. I would give 0 stars if I could and rather die then have OFD come save me.

We are so grateful for the wonderful people of the Oshkosh 15th Fire department! They have helped us a number of times always with the most professional, compassionate way. We are not sure if we had firemen helping us from other districts as well, but every time and all of them were fantastic! They are the brave men and women who are risking their lives for the public.

I can’t recommend the Oshkosh Fire Department. Unfortunately, they are not responsive and not open to the community. I have never had a bad experience with a fire department until I reached out to OFD. They couldn’t be bothered to help me.
