I was very satisfied with the thorough service we received for my daughter who has been experiencing psychological problems. Unfortunately we were here for almost 7 hours but we were seen immediately. We just had to wait for specialists and getting blood work. But honestly that is expected as there are staff shortages and oswego hospital is not the only medical facility experiencing this. At least we were treated with respect and understanding.
Please listen carefully… this hospital is the worst place I’ve ever been to. The staff treat you horribly and if I could have this place removed I would. I’m never stepping foot inside that place ever again. ALWAYS, smells awful, like urine and you get treated with absolutely no respect at all. They have motives to steal and harm people. Please do not go here for anything, not even a checkup if you are injured ask your loved ones first. Before you do that, just be careful going here because even when you leave you are forced to exit immediately and wait around all day for a ride to pick you up, because they take no insurance at all. Please do not go here. I am only giving a one star to post this review. God bless you all, and please don’t go to this place, you are in danger if you go here. Any time of day.
I was really taken care of most recently for my first surgery nurse Stephanie and Dr. McNally were great and really made me feel comfortable and prepared. And previously Dr. Melanie Grosch has also done a great job in solving an issue for my allergies. I’ve been blessed in having such great staff doing such a great job.
Oswego Hospital is nothing but selfish people that aren't at that hospital for the right reasons. My 9 month old came in with a possible dislocated shoulder and the piece of work security guard hassled my wife about wearing a mask so she put one on and when my daughter continued to pull it from her face while waiting to be called he continued to yell at my wife about the stupid mask. This is not the first time we have had issues with these people Don't bring your loved ones here. They aren't even educated they told my wife that our 3 year old was a miscarriage. Horrible place
this hospital was horrible i waited 6 and a half hours to get in when i was in extreme horrible pain i thought i was having a kidney stone. but turned out i just have a pulled muscle in my lower side. no one should have to wait that long to be seen in an emergency room. this hospital is 100% ridiculous. this whole 'emergency' room visit was a complete epic joke.
Over 2 hours to get a sonogram, when you have a appointment. I have never been so long in a medical office. I understand emergencies happen, but this is completely uncalled for. If your late they reschedule or can bill you. But they can keep you waiting. Terrible.
U guys did an amazing job with my dad..He received a 10 plus job on treating him for all his problems..Icu was amazing..im happy to say cause of your cate he is know at Seneca manor getting physical therapy!! Also I appreciate the doctor and nurses keeping me fully up to date ty ty ty
My friend and I came to Oswego Hospital Emergency Department at 2:30pm on April 27th and have yet to be seen by anybody and it is currently 5:46pm. Waiting this long to be seen in the ED is absolutely outrageous. It is clear that the staff working here do not care enough. I can only imagine how chaotic and hard it is to be working in the ED but to be in the waiting room for nearly four hours is ridiculous. If you don’t have enough staff, rooms, etc…for the amount of people coming in, close down the ED. If anyone is having an actual emergency I recommend going anywhere else but here. The service and care provided is absolutely horrendous. If negative stars were an option I would’ve rated it -10000/5.
This review is about MELISSA PURTELL. During my stay there I had the unpleasant experience of listening to her demean people. She was so unbelievably rude staff. It is as if she gets off on making everyone else miserable. When I was talking to my nurses about it they almost seemed scared of her. I found out from a friend who works at one of the Syracuse hospitals that she not only was awful to the nurses there who had to help her but that she harassed one of their employees who apparently was a new hire to the medical field and still in training to the point that she used her connections in the healthcare field to get that employee fired. What a terrible lady and a terrible representation of Oswego health.
