It is very beautiful at the campground. The park is not very good and you have to be under 75 pounds to play on it. They have a stocked fishing pond and if you catch something you are charged feom tip to tail. This place is very tight and tough to maneuver a big trailer through as their septic systems are in the middle of the campground.
I used RV site for tent camping for more money but I was right beside the pond and grass under my tent. Fishing pond is great but they haven’t stock rainbow trout for many years. I see about 3-7 fishes but they got smart and doesn’t even bite or show any interest on my bait... please re-stock more fishes so my kids can enjoy fishing. My son says “if they re-stock, I want to go back but if they don’t, I don’t want to go back because I couldn’t catch anything last 2 years...”
I paid $34 for this tiny site and i diwas not using hookups basically tenting..not sure if its worth it yet but talk about small. Found out later they double booked that site..so they moved me to another parking spot. Honestly im really not impressed by this place. If it were $25 bucks id say its worth it
An awesome walk through the tunnels. It is closed currently due to rockfall but you can be adventurous and jump over to get there.
Just stayed here a couple weekends ago and had a restful days off. The location is fairly quiet and we had a nice shaded tenting site. One of the bathroom is nice; the other needs a bit of work and cleaning. Nice to have water right at our site as well. Not too far to cycle to the Othello Tunnels and the town of Hope. We have stayed here three times now and will probably stay here again if we are in the area. the owners are nice and accommodating.
All hookups were available. Conveniently close to town & hiking trails. Amazing views. I spent my Sunday’s off exploring the many trails. I got lost for hours taking the peaceful serene surroundings nestled in the majestic mountains. The trails are well groomed and very easy to navigate with many sign maps to guide you into whatever direction you do choose. The service at the campground was friendly and excellent. Cozy & quiet spot. A little fishing hole right in the campground. Definitely great for entertaining the kiddos. I highly recommend this place. I’d definitely stay here again.
Close to the Othello Tunnels! Very clean campsite and great location.
Never went to the camp grounds but the tunnels are a must. They are extremely easy as it's mostly flat.
My family brought our 30 ft rv for the weekend. A lot of the reviews led us to not expect too much but this place had a lot to offer. I have paid a lot more to stay at places with a lot less. We stayed in site 15 which was clean, dry and, best of all, spacious and level. Our spot was right across from the clean bathrooms, free showers and laundry facilities. The owners were friendly and informative. The lady in the office told us where to find local attractions while the husband kept up with the outside work. They weren't always around, but they are elderly and have to be cautious during all of this pandemic madness. As expected, the playground area is a bit dated but safe. True, the wifi a bit slow, but if I wanted non-stop FB and internet, I may as well have stayed home. I was there to see the tunnels, do a bit of gold panning and hiking. Many reviews are complaining about the truck traffic but I did not find it excessive. True, I could hear the trucks as they passed but the traffic was mostly on the main highway a half kilometer away. This place is not fancy and is a bit run down, just like thousands of small family businesses hit hard recently. Definitely worth checking out. I will stay here again.
Beautiful giant maples shade your site that are larger than most other places . Laundry and bathrooms are fair . The owners are very friendly. Bit of noise from the Coquihalla hwy across the river . But it's not to bad . More of an adult RV park .
