Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee (OAT) is a group of medical and audiological professionals committed to excellence in ear, nose, and throat care for middle Tennessee. In every aspect of our practice, we are dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a courteous and respectful environment.
Present day OAT formed in 1997 from the merger of the two leading otolaryngology practices in Nashville. Our forebearing practices date back to the 1930’s and 1950’s with Drs. Bryan and Kennon and with Dr. Alley, respectively. Both practices cultivated a reputation for outstanding clinical care, becoming the standard bearers for otolaryngology in Nashville. While working primarily through Baptist and Centennial Hospitals, our Drs. Crook, Downey, and Cate also provided ENT services at Vanderbilt Hospital for many years when Vanderbilt did not have an Otolaryngology department. Current OAT clinicians still maintain a warm and collegial relationship with Vanderbilt, the Children’s Hospital and the Bill Wilkerson Center.
In our multiple locations, OAT strives to uphold this heritage of community awareness and accessibility. In addition to our physician office visits, we offer a full range of otolaryngology services including hearing testing, allergy testing, allergy shots, hearing aid fitting, and custom ear molding. For decades, OAT and its predecessors have had the privilege of caring for the ears, noses, and throats of middle Tennessee. With our patient centered approach, we continue to seek new and better ways to deliver specialty otolaryngology services to our community.
