My children attended the summer camps for three years, ages of 6-13. They participated in diverse programs such as visual arts, woodworking, and jewelry making, and their overall experience was excellent. The camp provided high-quality instruction, and the facilities at the Orleans campus were impressive.
I've attended two events here, one of which was an interesting art show. I also purchased a painting I love from their on-site store.
I've been taking classes here for three years and I love it! The staff and instructors are extremely nice and helpful! There are multiple different mediums one can learn about here! What I really enjoy is that there are two galleries that are free and an art store open to the public. They have classes for both adults and children so it caters to all! I highly recommend this place!
This place is a rip off. I took one course and it was a joke. The instructor canceled classes and that time was not made up even though we were told it would be. No refund, no make up time and not even an apology. The instruction in my class was poor as well. The instructor was unable or unwilling to answer specific questions and seemed more interested in talking about himself. I've learnt far more from YouTube videos than I did in this class.
This is a wonderful art school. The classes are worth it. We've done children's classes and would recommend them. Maria Gomez-Umaña is a fantastic teacher. Thank you.
Nice school at the centre of Ottawa. They promote arts from their students, faculty and alumni. Take a look at done of the student art because it is worthwhile.
Went there to explore. There was one good show up and another one going up. The person working was engaging and a good representative of the school. Had a good conversation with her. Will probably be back on Sept 11, when there's a bigger show coming.
The Ottawa School of art provides the best art class experience in the city. The teaches are knowledgeable and helpful and they provide the best experience possible for their students. The classes are well worth the money that the student pays. The offer a variety of classes for beginners who are just starting to draw and for the more advanced they offer diplomas. They offer a variety of different classes from pottery to painting and drawing. They also have open workshops. My favorite is the jewelry making one. Ottawa School of Art generously donates some of the various charities I volunteer for throughout the city
A very inspiring atmosphere to learn in. I’ve taken many classes here including drawing, pottery and several painting classes. The teachers have all been very knowledgeable and kind. I very highly recommend the Ottawa School of Art.
This camp made me hate art and its entirety by the appalling teaching and performance by the instructors, staff, curriculum, and overall, experience there. I got back around to enjoying art, but only after 4 years in which time I had forgotten here. I believe that this academy is a waste of money and time.
