Our saltbox style lake house has three levels and is equipped to make every vacation simply magnificent. The home includes 3 bedrooms on the main and upper levels with two additional sleeping rooms and a game room in the walkout basement level. It has a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ grill for your use, washer and dryer, two TVs, internet and an extremely large wrap-around deck with a fabulous view of the lake.
The extra large lot, provides plenty of room for volleyball, badminton, bocce ball or just some extra room for the children to play. Small basketball net and soccer nets provided. Enjoy the sunset on this Western facing deck and finish off the evening with a large bonfire in the custom-built fire pit.
Our home is located on the beautiful Mullet Lake. Mullett Lake is part of the Inland Waterway, by which one can boat 45 miles through a wildlife-filled, scenic chain of lakes and rivers starting in Pickerel Lake to Lake Huron through two locks, four large lakes (Pickerel, Crooked, Burt and Mullett Lakes) and three beautiful rivers (Crooked, Indian and Cheboygan Rivers).
If you enjoy river tubing, kayaking or canoeing, be sure to visit the Big Bear Adventures in Indian River to plan a ride on the Sturgeon or Pigeon Rivers. They also have adventure golf, ropes courses and many other activities.
Enjoy the North Central State Trail, a beautiful 62 mile hiking, biking and snowmobiling trail, which passes through Indian River as it connects Gaylord to Mackinaw City. Up for ORVing, Motorcycling or snowmobiling; you'll love the Tomahawk Trails which provides miles of scenic wilderness. Hunt, fish and play in 180,000+ acres of State Land including the Mackinaw State Forest and lovely Pigeon River Country State Forest. Other area attractions include the famous 'Cross in the Woods,' the world's largest crucifix carved from a giant 55-foot California Redwood.
Surrounding areas to Indian River: 30 min to Cheboygan, 40 minutes to Petoskey or Harbor Springs and 30 minutes to Mackinac City. A trip to Mackinac Island is a recommended day-trip where travel is only allowed by foot, horse-drawn carriage or bicycle. The scenery and historic setting is wonderful.
