My husband and I came in for our anniversary. First we had to wait for a table in a practically empty restaurant. Once we got seated we waited at least 5-7 minutes for someone to take our drink order. A manager came out and took our order since the server was apparently too busy chatting about physical therapy with the booth behind us. Still waiting for drinks, 20 minutes later, and the server is chatting with the booth on the other side and then bringing refills to another couple nearby. We were ready to order but he was totally ignoring us. 5 minutes later we still had no drinks and decided to leave. Did I mention the restaurant was practically empty? We let the greeter know we were really unhappy and now we’re off to Texas Roadhouse. 10 minutes later - we are seated at Texas Roadhouse :with: bread and drinks. And the place is packed. I wonder why?
They couldn't seem to get it right on this visit. Blooming onion looked half eaten when we received it and cut of steak ordered was wrong when it arrived. Also food was cold.Food: 1/5
Dominick our server went above and beyond to go back and forth between our table of over 40 adults and our younger adults to pair us up to split the check. The food was fabulous and arrived at our table quick enough. The blue cheese vinaigrette on my salad was delectable! A completely pleasant dinning experience for our extended family.
First, let me say that our server, Madison, was excellent from start to finish! My surf n' turf filet & lobster was absolutely scrumptious! Even though the filet appeared to be charred on the outside at first glance, it did not taste charred at all. I ordered it medium-rare and it was cooked to perfection! The carrots in the vegetable medley were a bit undercooked but the rest of the vegetables were perfect. I did add on shrimp to my entree for an extra cost. 4 shrimp came with my plate and I will say they were a bit dry, but overall the meal was amazing. My son ordered the chicken tenders for kids and he said they tasted bad. But, I often find with kids that they can eat something one day and think it's the best thing since sliced bread and then eat the exact same thing the next day and swear is horrible! Lol Just to be sure, I tried one of his chicken tenders and they tasted fine. I think maybe the fryer oil might have needed to be changed because they did seem to have that "old oil" taste to them, but I certainly wouldn't say they were bad. He ate all his fries and of course that whole loaf of awesome bread they bring you so he definitely didn't go hungry! Overall, I give our experience, meal and service, 's! We love Outback and I was so glad to enjoy a date night with my little guy he's 11 so not so "little" anymore!
First time coming to the Harrisonburg location since we live in Staunton, but we always come for the bloomin onion!! The Pina Kuala was banging!! Service was Awesome, and the waiter gave off good vibes and playful energy Sad I don't remember his name tho Food: 5/5
Australian themed steakhouse with a large selection of high quality steak. The menu also features the famous blooming onion fried whole onion, chicken, seafood, pork, sandwiches and salads. The food was hot and fresh, something many restaurants are bad about these days. Average wait times depending on when you go. Highly recommended.
Our experience with Outback Steakhouse in Harrisonburg is always A#1 when we have Krissy as our Server! She takes such good care of us! The food is awesome, and the service just can't be beat! We highly recommend Outback to all of our Family and Friends! Enjoy!Food: 5/5

From the moment we were greeted until the very last bite, Malachi’s attentiveness and professionalism were truly remarkable. Our server displayed an extensive knowledge of the menu and confidently guided us through the mouthwatering array of steak options, taking into account our preferences and offering insightful recommendations. Malachi patiently answered all our questions, providing detailed descriptions of each dish and ensuring we made informed choices. However, after working in the restaurant business for 18 years, I could tell Malachi was more passionate than the other servers and was truly genuine. His enthusiasm regarding the menu entrees were contagious, elevating me and my wife’s dining experience to a whole new level. Throughout the evening, Malachi effortlessly balanced attentiveness with respect for our privacy, knowing exactly when to approach and when to allow us to savor the ambiance and indulge in conversation. His timing was impeccable, promptly attending to our needs without ever being intrusive. Their attention to detail was great. The table was set impeccably, with clean utensils promptly replaced after each course. He anticipated our requests before we even voiced them, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and promptly clearing plates between courses. Such seamless execution elevated the overall dining experience and left a lasting impression. Not only did our server possess exceptional technical skills, but they also exuded warmth and genuine hospitality. They had an uncanny ability to make us feel like valued guests, going above and beyond to create a memorable evening. Malachi’s warm smile and friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed and appreciated throughout our visit. In the end, it is the people who truly make a dining experience extraordinary, and our server undeniably exceeded all expectations. His dedication, expertise, and sincere desire to ensure our utmost satisfaction were evident in every interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend this steakhouse to anyone seeking not only a superb culinary experience but also impeccable service. We love this outback. We stop here when paying through Harrisonburg while traveling. Tonight was no exception. The food is cooked to perfection, the bread always fresh, soft, and warm, and the bloomin onion crisp and delicious. Tonight, our server was Malachi. He was friendly, prompt, and helpful. He got everything we needed quickly and efficiently without being obtrusive or overwhelming. Excellent service. Highly recommend this restaurant for great food and wonderful service, an overall fantastic experience.
