Delicious Prime Ribs at Outback for dinner! We sat on the dog friendly patio and ordered prime ribs. For sides we had a Caesar salad, mashed potatoes, French fries, and asparagus. All tasted great. The service was fantastic, going above and beyond when there were some spills at our table. The food came out very quickly. Recommend if you’re at the Mission Valley Mall, not many dog friendly full service restaurants here.
We haven't visited this location in a long time, sadly the one we used to visit closed down. We weren’t disappointed today and were glad picked this location today! The service was great and the food was fantastic. Our salads were served cold, crisp and fresh. The dinner was timed well and came out at just the right time. The meals were hot and portions were plentiful. Our server visited our table often to check in and refill beverages. The meals were fairly priced for the portions we received. I highly recommend this location.
My husband and I walked into Outback Steakhouse on a Saturday around noon. It was much less crowded than I had expected. Despite the minimal crowd, we waited almost 10 minutes to be seated. We didnt have a dedicated server, we were being waited on in passing. All the employees except for one guy, who was also the bartender, seemed to be extremely buy doing nothing. The bartender/server who was really hustling from table to table seemed to be the only employee taking orders, serving most tables, and closing tickets, shoutout to him. We placed our order about 5 minutes after being seated. We waited about 25 minutes for our Onion! Took a lot of patience, considering how empty it was. I honestly was tempted to walk out, but finally, the onion came out and the nice woman in the blue shirt mentioned that she comped the onion due to the long wait. That was extremely generous and we are incredibly grateful. I had been begging to come here since I started craving a blooming onion a few weeks ago. I had only ever had a blooming onion from the Del Mar fair. The Outback Blooming Onion exceeded my expectations. It came to our table hot, crispy, and flavorful. The breading was minimal, the onion petals were crunchy, not mushy, and had an actual onion-skunk flavor. We also ordered a Blue Cheese Wedge Salad and Sweet and Spicy Fried Shrimp. We enjoyed all the food. The salad was crispy, crunchy, creamy, refreshing, and clean. The sweet and Spicy shrimp was hit and crispy, the breading was also very minimal. The shrimp were okay-sized. Not massive, but we were served a generous amount. The complimentary brown bread and butter was unexpected and delicious. Warm, fresh, soft. The butter was perfect. We were also surprised how decent the prices were for the food. We found it to be a good value for the quality and quantity. The drinks we personally avoided because most of them started at $10 we found the drinks to not be that great a value.
The ambiance was pretty cute, and their fresh bread was really good and enjoyable, but unfortunately, that was the highlight of my visit. The waitstaff was nice enough, if a bit distracted, and the 5oz steak I ordered took a very long time for the hour nearing 6p and relatively small crowd there. I ordered mid-rare, so it was surprising that it took so long. The top crust of the steak was delicious, and the flavoring good, but as I cut into it, I discovered that at the very thickest part of the cut, it was mid-well, with the rest being well done. The server we had checked in a time or two, but was otherwise fairly engaged with a table she and others of the staff obviously knew, so I wasn't able to let her know about it. I ate about half, which was all I could stomach, and sent the rest home with my dining companion in his leftovers. His steak was cold pretty quickly, though at least cooked to the correct temperature, and we thought that maybe his sat in the window while waiting on mine. Perhaps a simple miscommunication with our server. The grilled shrimp were pretty good, and I think next time I try this place, I may just stick to seafood.
The service was fine. The steak was only ok. It had a lot fat and not very flavorful. The salad that came with tuna was better haha.Food: 3/5
Pretty dang good! I ended up getting some spicy shrimps and a half lb of crab legs - they were fantastic! Good atmosphere and location. Parking was a pain, but we found a spot. Decent drinks and decently priced for the location. Would happily return
Server was friendly and patient. The food was awful however. The steaks were raw when we ordered medium to well done steaks, the pasta was cold. Chicken had a smell and was chewy.Food: 1/5

First time here, not a bad experience, got seated quickly, got the 9oz sirloin with ribs and i loved the bbq they used on the ribs, and sirloin was also seasoned good. My wife got the 12oz ribeye and that was also juicy and good!! Will come back again soon.
