Awesome place to stop for some comfort food. Biscuits and gravy was top noch. service was on point. Will definitely come back again.Food: 5/5
This is a little hole in the wall place that has the most incredible food I've ever had for breakfast. All the staff is incredibly friendly not to mention the locals as well I felt very welcomed in that town. If you're out on the road and you come upon this place don't hesitate to go there and eat. Oh and did I mention the tater tots are out of this world.
Great cafe!! Clean and welcoming - on the way to Sturgis and happy we stopped! Waitress was friendly and stopped by just enough to check on us. Food was amazing, my husband says best chicken fried steak he’s had in a long time!Food: 5/5
After 17 hours of driving, our little ones deserved a break. Alas, Lusk seemed void of places for us and our kids to get our wiggles out - especially on a cold, November Sunday. Desperate to not have to make it to the next town before stopping, we found the Outpost Cafe and rolled the dice. And we were so happy that we did! First of all, their menu has a fun variety and is inexpensive! I gave up on paying less than $10 per person in 2022, but Outpost Cafe is standing strong. Second, the service was pleasant and fast. Could have just been our server, but I noticed that most employees seemed to be in a pretty good mood. That's always indicative of a nice workplace, especially mid-morning on a Sunday in the middle of Wyoming. Third, don't expect high quality cuisine. Although the food is yummy, my pretentious foodie friend would probably leave a 2 star review here because the toast wasn't sauteed in a truffle sauce or something ridiculous. But if you're a down-to-Earth American who appreciates the effort as much as the food, I think you'll have a good time here. The kids' menu is also pretty fun and serves up some big portions! Further, I spotted what I assumed to be a number of locals dining here and they were all lovely. Our kids had plenty of attention and smiles from the patrons and employees alike. And finally, although it was freezing cold I still took our son outside to run around before crushing his soul by putting him back in his carseat, and he had a blast walking through the old, rusted car bodies out in the dirt. Maybe not the safest place to let a kid run free, but a fun one to be sure.
Great breakfast spot. LARGE portions. Pay with the QR code on the receipt if you wish.Food: 5/5
We stopped in for breakfast two days ago. The food was awful, I’m sorry but that is being nice according to my wife. Atmosphere was fine, service was ok. Probably time to find a new cook, pretty hard to mess breakfast up that bad.Food: 1/5
The place hits you like an oasis! The outside looks a little rough truck stop ish, but do not let that deter you this is a great family diner to check out with kid, wife, and a group. The food options are plenty, including a really nice salad bar. I would suggest stopping, slowing down, and enjoying some time in Lusk.
Great local hangout. Charming, spacious with a real sense of home. We arrived at 8.30a on a Monday morning and tables were buzzing with locals at breakfast. Ordered the chicken friend steak and eggs and Jalapeño cheddar biscuits. Food was hot and tasty. Very happy we stopped by.
All employees were working so hard. It was very busy. We got our food quickly and it was good. Excellent prices. It was the end of Sturgis week.Food: 5/5
I ordered one egg over medium, hashbrowns, toast sourdough. Side of sausage. Coffee. Egg was broke and cooked thru. Toast was dark brown/toasted & hard. Sausage was good, thick big links. Different than typical links. But good. Hasbrowns a bit under cooked. Coffee tasted a bit watered down. Service was quick, friendly & atmosphere was small town western feel. A bit out dated, flies, but homey, friendly everybody just chatted among tables, seem to somehow know eachother. Limited to daytime hours. Not many restaurants in town to choose from. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly
