Love this park! Very spacious, beautiful scenery, also great trails too! Highly recommended for everyone, especially if you love doggies! If you want to get out the house and soak up some sun! This is the place to be!
Great dog park with shade and room to play. Prefer grass to mulch. Some people need to be more responsible picking up after their dog.
Overton Bark is a dog park in Midtown Memphis. This 1.3-acre enclosed dog park borders the Old Forest and the Rainbow Lake Playground.. Well fenced. When we walk the Old Forest trail during the week, there are usually a few dogs. I'm sure it is otherwise during the weekend. Looks like the dogs really enjoy themselves.
I absolutely love coming to this park. I bring my Grandchildren they adore turtles and ducks as well as the playground. As for me I'm a jogger so I love the nature trail season after season a blanket of nature.
Always just a lovely park to bring my dog to. So much space for them to run,and there's a water fountain, benches and usually a few toys around. It's separated into small and larger dogs, but the fence still lets them interact! Great part of the park!
Memphis has many dog parks but I can't see how they could be any better than Overton Bark. Of course, there are two sides: small dogs under 25 pounds, and the other, larger side for "any size dog." Plenty of waste stations and a nice water fountain for humans and dogs high and low spouts. Also, the people are always extremely nice
Loved it. Park is split for small and big dogs. It has a lot of running area. They stock bags to clean up after your dog too. Very laid back and friendly atmosphere.
It really isn't big enough for the bigger dog section of the park. The small dog area is perfectly fine. But the larger dog area should be at least three times that size. There is no staff at this park and I think that the people that come to this park do a really good job of making sure dogs have water available. I would love to see some restructuring of the fencing since part of it is already broken and possibly a much larger space for the bigger dogs. The confinement tends to create a hectic air and there's really not as much room for the hyperactive dogs that love to run.
Bathrooms were hideous. Not up to par at all. Park needs to be clean up especially those picnic tables Restrooms: Not good at all Picnic area: Cleaning needs to happen
Great spot in the heart of Midtown with separate spaces for small and large dogs. Very big space and lots of friendly people and dogs. Right next to Rainbow Lake if your pup loves water. Only downside is after rain it can be a little muddy.
