This is a small beach no lifeguard. Across the street there is a play area for little ones with a walking path as well. There is ample parking and the restroom facilities are superb and there is one building on each side of the park. There’s a pavilion with bbq grills and picnic tables for a larger group and possibly private rental I assume. The Amenities are top notch and the surrounding environment is quiet and feels like you are in the middle of nature. The park is usually not crowded and it’s fairly clean and the best part? It’s free
Update: The lake across the street needs to be combed with all the seaweed they have on the beach. We wanted to go swimming yet it had way too much. Otherwise, It's one of my kids favorite parks. There is a little pump that you can push that has water come out where the kids can build a little dam.. That's across the street from the beach. It has a few slides and great swings for Mom's with infants to be able to swing with the infant. Clean, private bathrooms and across the street you can go swimming. Down the road is a Burger King, Taco John's, Caribou and Subway if you wanted to have a quick picnic. Playground: The playground is amazing. You can make a dam, the swings have the baby ones where Mom's can swing with. A couple slides and climbing areas. Restrooms: Typical park restrooms. Flushable toilets. Picnic area: There's a shelter and picnic area.
It's a fun place to go and relax, or go swimming. I used to come here all the time when I was a kid.
Great lake for recreation! The water is clean WAY better than the glorified toilet that Lake Gervais has turned into. Lots of parking for boat trailers, and the boat launch is right next to the beach. Doesn't get better than that!
Like a mini Tamarack, but with slides, swings, and some modern play equipment. There's a water feature fake spring, but was turned off I'm assuming because it's October. Lots of huge stumps and logs to climb on. Big sticks and branches to build with. And A LOT of wood chips. Nice pavilion, bathrooms, ample parking, across the street from a small beach.
Didn't see any walking paths other than sidewalks along the road. Perhaps I just missed them. Great for kids, beach, boat launch, picnic tables and people were fishing. Dog-friendliness: Ok, except for a woman training a puppy she said off leash with MIXED results. Scared one child and woman was not taking responsibility for how she didn't have control of her dog. Unfortunate.
I love the natural aspects of the park! The location and access to the beach across the street sure helps also! Playground: My kids are a bit older and they still love to play here, even if it is geared more towards young elementary. Restrooms: Restrooms on the beach side are spacious, have running water, baby changing stations. Picnic area: The playground side of the park has a big Pavillion with 6 picnic tables. The beach side has 4 4-person square tables, 2 are covered/shaded.
Quiet, nice family swimming area. Sandy shore and access to a spray area once you're done. Picnic area: Not far from the beach area.
We visited this park for a friend’s Birthday celebration. She turned 100. Great place!
Beach is still clean but sad how they tore down all the big trees to make a rinky dink beach area...
