A hidden gem if you live outside of Dayville CT! What a wonderful experience! The music, the people and fireworks were just awesome!
Great place to take the kids. I take my grandson here all the time. He has been going here since he was little to play on the playground and now he can ride his bike, skateboard and use his skooter. I would suggest though if you have little ones to avoid the weekend on the half pipe because the older kids are there and it can be a too much for the littles :-
Owen Bell park is big and has lots of things to do it has tennis courts basket ball court even a place of soccer or football i think. It also has a playground area for the kids with lots of toys to play on and in swings jungle gyms. And even picnic tables throughout the park it has lots to explore and do. There's also a pond or lake off in the distance from where the flag is at with a bench or two for sitting down. This park also has a place for skate boarding over in front of or near the basketball and tennis courts. It has parking for disabled and others and porta potties 1 near the flag and 1 at the back of the park near the football soccer field behind the fence. There's a path to walk to it kinda its a light blue one just like the one near the flag. People also walk there dogs here and go jogging or running around this big park. Our cat Olivia loves it when we come over here she lives sitting on our dashboard watching for the birds and listening to all thats going on outside around her. Our other 2 cats Mouse and Sandy werent out much during our visit today as the sound of the trains made them panic and go into there room for safety. Playground: They have alot of playground toys for all of the younger age groups to play on Restrooms: They have as far as I can see 2 port potties at this park 1 up close and 1 away on the lower end of the park theres another side as well with a path to walk around that leads to the other one if im not wrong Dog-friendliness: They provide bags for easy clean up for your dogs when they have gone potty. And there's many trash cans throughout the park as well. Lots of people bring there dogs here to play to walk to run to have fun with. Picnic area: This park also has picnic areas all over it for anyone's picnicing needs maybe 5 or 6 areas with picnic tables and coverings overhead as well as trash cans to throw away your trash afterwards.
Great town park, complete with splash pad, playground, track, hiking path and soccer and baseball fields. Great in summer or winter, the only down part is it's right near the highway and that can be a little bit noisy at times. Certainly still a very fun place to visit for a day outside!!! I forgot about the frog pond complete with lotus flowers and fish!
I brought my cats to swing and see all the people/things. They enjoyed themselves.
We had so much fun at the concert, while waiting for the fireworks. it's genius.
This park is awesome. It has everything you could need. There is a basketball park, skate park, tennis courts, mini water park, playground, baseball fields and baseball fields. They even have a little ice cream stand in the way back. This is perfect for my family since we usually want to do different activities. It's also extremely big and almost always has people there. It's great if you play basketball, bc you are likely to have someone to play against.
A wonderful park to bring your kids to the splash pad and to grab some ice cream! The staff takes incredible care into making the park clean and gorgeous. Not to mention, the sunset on the pond is beautiful.
One of our favorite parks. There is a nice playground, walking track, baseball field, skate park, ball hoops, small splash pad & ice cream stand. We recently went for fireworks . We painted faces just for fun to give back to the community.
Such a great place for kids, the skate park, the playground and the splash park for young children. There also happens to be an ice cream shop opposite the fields. This is a great family place, for young families. Enjoy this place, sadly there aren't many like this around.
