If I could give a lower rating I would. You can never get a hold of anyone voice mails and emails are always ignored. The maintenance sucks around here you have to fight them to come fix anything. Hallways are never cleaned and have water damage in them. Dog waste bins are always over flowing. I would not recommend living here to anyone and I am glad to be moving put
Going around putting towing stickers on people's vehicles when they have paper tags from the state while they ship new plates out is ridiculous this apartment complex Has absolute horrible maintenance and management. The dog bins over flow the request get complete with no work done its unfortunate for the others that have to live in these apartments
Never thought I’d say this but I miss the old management. Since Elevate Living has taken over the quality of living here has dropped significantly. Whether it be ignored maitenance requests that are closed without having done anything, the office signing for your mail and holding it without reaching out even ignored my emails asking if they had my contact info updated afterwards, because I got no calls., broken entry doors, apartments falling apart themselves, or the newest trend, just leaving dog waste all over the premise, they can’t be bothered to help. We’ve had people stealing packages, there was a stolen car found here, people have broken into garages, I could go on and on. It’s frustrating for how much we pay for rent when again, management can’t be bothered to help fix your apartment. Especially because you know they’re going to gouge you the second you move out, even though the space you live in is obviously depreciating while no work goes into maintaining the units. Just all around frustrating, especially with how many long term tenants have finally said screw it and gave up and moved out due to all this.
0 stars are deserved. If you would like maintenance crew to perform their hired duties, plan to fix it yourself. Asking either management team to help, will cause more problems than what you originally asked to help with. When I first moved in, absolutely no problems, except for one. It was May and the temperature began to increase. As the temperature outside was rising, my A/C continued to push out stale, hot air. A week had passed and I spent every night at my girlfriends place in order to sleep at night. Time after time, I submitted maintenance requests to have it fixed. Requests were ignored and I took it upon myself to call Waterbury to get things fixed. It took approximately 5 minutes to call and 2 hours before my A/C was fixed. Prior to taking the situation into my own hands, I called and spoke to Kelly and Jennifer. I communicated that my apartment was over 80 degrees and that I did not feel comfortable with the situation given I couldn’t actually “live” in my new apartment. I have asthma and I get asthmatic bronchitis when air quality is poor. They told me that their office is kept at the temperature and that I would be fine despite communicating that it was much too hot. Months had passed and I had no contact with property management or maintenance. Unfortunately, my garage door broke with my car inside. I called maintenance and my garage door was fixed 3 days later. For 3 days I paid for transportation to week b/c my car was in the broken garage. For the second time, I was left in a situation created by how poor the management is. Once again, I was left spending extra money to combat these problems. I communicated, each time, that I shouldn’t be left to pay full rent cost rather than a discounted amount to make up for the fees I was left to cover in finding transportation and a good way to sleep at night despite high temps. The final situation was created after re-new of a lease agreement. The lease agreement that I signed was a replica of the previous I had signed before moving in. On the agreement, it stated that renters must provide renters insurance proof. I went an entire year without renters insurance. Upon signing the new lease, everything was the same until one night, after work. Communication had stopped up until I came home to a letter that was a notice to vacate/quit. I’m caught by surprise as management backs the claim that they had reached out “too many” times. I confronted management and spoke to the lawyer who began the legal side of eviction. The eviction notice was taken back after I paid the lawyer fees. Only after I paid the lawyer fees, did I get the best performance out of Kelly and Jennifer. They were all sorts of friendly after I paid the extra fees for eviction plus the increase in rent as my lease had been terminated and I was moved to month-month basis. I continued month to month rent and after one month, I found a new place to live. After leaving the apartment and turning in my keys etc. , I was given a $1000 bill to replace the entirety of the kitchen island counter top. The countertop had a circular “burn mark” the size of a pop can. The bill has been settled long before this post b/c money was never the issue at Oxbow Park. Property management and maintenance could perform better if outside relationship wasn’t a problem. There should be no tolerance for petty actions on behalf of management for having to perform their job duties. There is an entire audio recording of all 3 ladies in the office confronting me for being aggressive while sitting on a couch. In the clip you can hear the bickering back and forth as well as the acknowledgment that they planned to go forward with charging me all the extra fees associated with the notice to quit, despite having the ability to reach and speak to their higher ups about the mix up that took place and ridding of all the extra charges I received. All in all, find a better place to live than Oxbow Park. Property and Maintenance management could use some change.
The apartment is great! Very spacious kitchen which is always a plus! All rooms were in excellent condition when we arrived. Jennifer was very helpful and friendly when we arrived to retrieve our keys and let us know we could reach out to her at any time if we had any problems.
Literally one of the worse apartments you can ever live in, firstly it’s made of out materials that come from a 99 cents store literally one thing after another was falling apart, I’ve never had so many problems one time I found a dead bird in my dryer vent, I breathing! That for months, also having maintenance barging in my apartment with no warning and when I told the managers about it they claim that it was my fault because I’m supposed to tell them to not barge in my apartment that I’m paying wayyy to much for like? Ever heard of common sense. Not even all of it their 24hr maintenance don’t even bother they get mad at you for even calling them at night isn’t that what you signed up for? Ha never wanted to be a Karen but man does this one and only place make my blood boil, not even last thing but I won’t go on you get it they didn’t want to accept my last payment of rent even though I had it verified and everything for them to accept and is now charging me late fees on top of that when I tried paying at the start of the month, everything about this place is very unprofessional.
Jennifer was EXTREMELY helpful. Everything was prepared when we arrived and we were even able to get our keys early. She has answered every question we’ve ever asked. Apartment was clean and everything worked as expected. Great experience and awesome customer service! Well done.
Filthy & falling apart FAST! Some common, reoccurring themes in 2 years of living here: - no hot water - unresponsive 24hr maintenance that become defensive & belligerent when contacted - broken glass in the parking lots that doesn't get cleaned up - dirty, smelly water had to purchase our own filtration system - broken downspout gutters that don't get fixed & that cause ice sheets on the walkways in the winter which is unironically right next to handicapped parking spaces & the maintenance shed, so one would think that it would be noticed & important to fix, but it's not - broken gutters just get tossed aside on the grass instead to sit there for 1+ years - negligent snow removal there is no one on site to shovel snow & the company hired to do so shows up whenever they feel like it, if at all - landscaping that gets ruined by the maintenance crew driving their carts all over it - filthy air duct system had to purchase our own air purifiers to combat constant congestion - front office staff who don't do what they say they'll do, such as leave community notes about when water services will be restored - that you can't bathe in the apartment you're paying for isn't their problem & they are in no particular hurry to fix anything - inoperable main entry doors - having to turn the water on & wait 20+ minutes for hot water - practically non-existent water pressure - appliances breaking - residents & maintenance crew alike speed throughout the parking lot causing near miss accidents all of the time - packages stolen people's medicines & baby food - garages with holes in the walls & overhead garage door motors that are improperly secured over your car with electrical wires instead of bolts Rest assured, that if you move here & experience any of these problems, you will be treated as the problem for reporting any of it to staff & disrupting their otherwise good day. You may live here & pay rent, but they work here & that's more important. The employees here do not care that this is your home & treat having to do their jobs as a disruptive annoyance. It's worth noting that the property management company, Elevate Living, is from out of state & has only 1.6 stars on Google. Additionally, rent at Oxbow built in 1994 is going up to compete with other nicer, newer apartment complexes in the area while offering residents none of the amenities that those other complexes offer, such as a fitness center, a pool & a secure package delivery room - these do not exist here. So, for the same premium price, you get less for your money, ignored by staff, can't bathe, breathe dirty air & have your packages stolen, all in deteriorating conditions. Do not move here - save yourself the trouble & headache & move to one of the newer apartment complexes in the area. At one point in time I'm sure Oxbow Park were nice apartments & presented a good value for your dollar - not the best & not the worst. However, now, Oxbow's best days are lost in the rearview & are well behind it. This place sucks.
Not happy with the maintenance staff but the property manager is extremely pleasant to interact with. Overall, a nice place to live but if you need any maintenance work done and don't mind being ridiculed in your own residence, Corey is the guy for you.
The Maintenance is terrible. They do not complete the work ticket and close them saying the have been completed. The flooring in the apartments squeak terribly and feel like you’re going to fall through in the hall way,
