This was the worst vet I've ever been to. The staff was nice but the older man vet was horrid. He made huge mistakes with surgery and then tacked on more money after making me sign a receipt with a 0 balance added 450 after the fact. My poor pet didn't even make it home before there were complications and then he traumatized me forcing me to come into the surgery area which should be against the law and seeing my poor pet suffer. Telling me I would be Lucky if she made it through the night. He was so disrespectful and so cold. Not worth your let's life .
This is the most greedy veterinarian I have ever encountered. He charges high prices for the smallest things. Unprofessional, petty, and greedy behavior. It doesn't matter if he has made a fortune off your pets; he will still overcharge for things that ethical veterinarians wouldn't fathom doing. Dr. Feingold is a huge disappointment. I don't know how he looks at himself in the mirror. I don't recommend Dr. Feingold as a veterinarian. I am never returning to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital again. Every pet owner needs a compassionate veterinarian. With that said; he lost my business. There are much better veterinarians elsewhere.
Dr. takes the time to explain. staff are super sweet to you & your 4 legged baby. highly recommended. Keep up the great job.
Absolutely awful experience!! Take your animals and run! We've never been treated so disrespectfully in a clinic! The vet spoke over us, talked down to us, and was extremely rude. Not only to us but to other clients in the office. I'm not easily offended by words, but calling the animal shelter "the pound" is extremely outdated, especially for someone in the field. The vet assumed our dog behaved in a certain way without actually asking us about his demeanor or shock! actually interacting with our dog! Our dog was treated like a vicious monster because he had come from the shelter where he exhibited fearful but not aggressive behaviors. Any other vet would have offered us encouragement and advice for a successful adoption of a dog with baggage. Instead, this vet encouraged us to return the dog because he felt like our family wasn't a good fit based on his breed. In all, my biggest concern is for the staff who work there. If you're reading this, please know there are plenty of jobs out there. Do not subject yourself to working in an office with someone so disrespectful! NO ONE deserves to be talked to the way this man speaks to people.
To those who might be looking into taking their animals to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital or to those who were referred to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital by another veterinary hospital, as was the case with me--- I am honestly not sure how there are any negative reviews floating around for Oxnard Veterinary Hospital... My experience with them today was absolutely fantastic. I truly felt like my dog was in caring hands with the doc, not to mention I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. To those on-the-fence about their animal's care at Oxnard Vet, here is my unbiased feedback from my visit today-- Time: Unlike past vet visits, in no way did I feel 'rushed' during my visit here. The doctor actually spent a lot of time with me today... Q&A/learning about my animal's history, going over different treatment options after his diagnosis and even took extra time to elaborate and make sure I knew how to do some at-home treatment/care for my animal. Price: The animal that I took in for a visit today has been my companion through my own personal financial hardships, as well as times of financial 'normalcy'. Having said that, I've been to many different vet offices price usually being front of mind for me... Oxnard Vet is honestly one of the more affordable choices I've been to. Without asking, the doctor told me the prices of getting my dog's shots/vaccines during the same day visit and quickly let me know that they run a clinic at the office 3 days/week, providing a cheaper alternative to the in-office pricing I was just presented. Any subsequent pricing that I was shown for x-rays/treatment all felt very honest/appropriate from my past vet experiences. Love for Animals: People who truly love their work, tend to do the best job at their work. I felt like every single employee at this facility truly cared for the animals that were there... not just mine, but all of them. It felt like everyone was in that office because they wanted to be there, not because they were being forced to be there. I mention this specifically out of experience... I've been to veterinarian offices where the staff just looked like they didn't want to be there apathetic, rude, generally unhappy. Happy to report that this was NOT the case at Oxnard Veterinary Hospital during my visit. This was just my first visit to Oxnard Vet Hospital, but I will surely be going back again. I can't speak to some of the other reviews I see posted on here, but I did want to post my experience with this vet office to those needing care for their animals, but not sure where to go I had many offices flat out tell me they weren't bringing any new animals in for care. Since I will be taking my animals in for more visits in the near future... if my experience with the office somehow changes or begins to feel like some other experiences I've read... I'll absolutely post an update here. For now... so far so good! Very pleased.
The nurse guy was very kind even when Coco tried to bite him
I do find Dr Feingold a bit off-putting. Probably as much my issue as his. What there can be no argument with is his competence. If you're looking for a drinking buddy it ain't here but if knowing your pet is in the hands of a competent Pro with a capital "P" is the goal you got your man. Staff is the best.
I do not give this doctor any stars. I took my dog to him because she had a cough, he analyzed her blood and gave me three consultations for her. At each consultation I paid about $60 plus medicine and tests. My dog never got over her cough and he wanted to keep taking my money for X-rays and EKGs, which are not cheap by the way. The last straw was that the medicine he sent her caused epileptic seizures that she did not have and when I asked him why he had prescribed phenobarbital if the dog did not have epilepsy, he washed his hands saying that perhaps the laboratory made a mistake in the quantities of the ingredients used. Be careful, if you love your pets, don't take them with this man.
My doggy is doing great. The doctor has been the only one to have helped my pet. Though, the fee's are a little bit above average.
Amazing staff. I was here 2 years ago and the difference is amazing. Respectful and compassionate members. Was helped in a timely manner. Doctor was amazing. If you came here before and didn't like the service come back it has changed tremendously. It's an amazing place my questions where answers. I recommend it. 2nd chances do exist.
