This was our first time visiting to see the holidays lights, it will not be the last. Top of every hour, the lights dance! These are just a few pictures. Go see all the bells and whistles for yourselves, it's awesome!!! We've certainly started what will become a holiday tradition .
Always a good time. We got there at happy hour half price drinks yay!! The Boils are amazing. I always get Mr. Boil sauce no heat because I am a wimp but I hear that spicy and fire are good too.
Quite a nice and quaint area with a lot of food and a couple entertainment options available here. The parking situation here really isn't bad for as many shops as they have here but keep in mind that the parking spots in front of the shops are 1 hour parking and not for those going to the movie theater so the signs will remind you. I'll certainly come back to check out a few more venues.
A great spot to hang out, walking around, relax and be social! Lot of activities going on the weekend or holidays. Nice out door water fountain and most of the restaurants around here has high quality of food.
Nice places to eat. There is free parking with multiple parking structures. Walkable with a pond in the middle. The movie theater is close to a parking structure and connected to the pizza restaurant, so you can add pizza to your movie experience.
Came here to walk around and enjoy the view. Really nice place to hang out. Lots of shops to explore and different restaurants for everyone. They have live bands sometimes so you are able to relax. Great place to take pictures.
This is such a nice area of Newport News! There are so many shops and restaurants and they frequently have free events here! The tree lighting in December is a huge deal and many kids take prom and homecoming photos here at the fountain!
Beautiful seyeing around a lake with wonderful restaurants and outdoor music. First Fridays in the summer are awesome.
Great place to go on a walk or see a movie or even eat out. The fountain is the main center piece and is relaxing to go by. This is also where the Love NN sign is. The city center also has free parking. It is mostly wheelchair accessible excluding the walkway closest to the fountain. It is a beautiful area that has a colonial meats modern theme. There are many great food places and shopping places nearby. It is also a rather safe area. At holiday time, the city center is super colorful. It's like walking down main street to New York and seeing all the holiday lights!

We thought it was great to have your polling destination conveniently located near the Welcome center. Perfectly nestled smack dabb in the middle of Shops, Eatery's, Hotels, "Good Vibes" concert series and Outdorsey Entertainment of Fun-time Fall Fest events as well... The Welcome center is truly a warmth and welcoming atmosphere with lounge chair conversation piece to sit comfortably for "Tourist's out-of-towners on vacation, or solo business travelers, new to the area or local "Staycationers of family, folks, friends and Furbabies... Also complimentary welcome center information pamphlets/visitors guide. Providing everything one may need to know or desire for enjoyment as a single day-out on the town, a week vacation of the many places and outdoorsey things to do for funtime, tasty foods with family, friends and Furbabies, in the 7 City's of Hampton Roads area... Thanks again City Center Welcome Center! We"ll deff be back for next seasonal Winter Wonderland Festivities...
