Ozark Mountain Family Restaurant Fans

Ozark Mountain Family Restaurant is a quaint little restaurant that serves up home cooking. A lot of the stuff is prepared right there like their tenderloin which is freshly made. Their chicken sandwiches are really really good. Try them out. Season fries rock also.

Delicious home cooked food and great service. Definitely a place for the whole family to enjoy. They even had live music the night we went.

Went to dinner with my family tonight and there were 8 of us including my 6 month old nephew. We have been in for breakfast and it was extremely good, so we thought we would try out the dinner menu. The band playing while we waited on our food was excellent. The rolls were delicious! Everyone at the table enjoyed their food and we couldn't get enough at how reasonable the prices are especially since you get a lot. The staff made sure we were taken care of and refilled our drinks when they were getting low. Brenda, the owner even came over to say hi to our table and visited with my nephew. Plus, I have to mention how delicious the strawberry cake was!! Haven't had a strawberry cake that good in awhile. We will definitely be back for more!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

My family and I were there this morning. This was a terrible experience all the way around. For starters, no one came to even so much as take a drink order for approximately 10-15 minutes, and the establishment was not busy. Finally a waitress asked about drinks, apparently she was not assigned to our table....but at least she looked after us. The waitress that was supposed to be ours was very hateful, so that worked out fine. We had the breakfast buffet. This was awful. If the food wasn't cold, it was hard and far overcooked. The eggs were sitting in a pan full of water. The gravy was thin as water. Nothing had any flavor. The whole experience was awful, and we do not feel we ever need to return to this restaurant.

Drove by this restaurant many times and decided that I would take my son for our mother-son lunch date. We were seated very quickly... and then we waited and waited and waited. Two new tables were seated and offered drinks. We were never offered a drink, a waitress never even acknowledged us. When a third table was seated and the waitress offered them a drink, we walked out. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant or their service. My family and I live in the area and will never visit Ozark Mountain Family Restaurant again. I don’t recommend this place at all. You would get better service from the Burger King next door.

Friendly, helpful staff. Quick service. Great food! My husband had the catfish which can be iffy around here, but this was excellent. I had the chicken fried steak which I loved. We were so full that we didn’t have room for pie. They looked great though. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely go back there.

Really wanted this place to be good, watch on social media once they started to remodel and kept up with the progress. It looks very clean, and liked the story. Went with my wife and daughter. I ordered chicken strips because nothing really stood out, my wife ordered a steak, and daughter got chicken strips. Also got mozzarella sticks. Good: chicken tenders had good breading and taste good. mozz sticks were really good. Steak was cooked right temp wise Roll was good Not so good: Mashed potatoes were very dry and bland Steak although cooked right, had no seasonings or flavors and for as much pride that seems to be taken in the beef, it was pretty tough. The vegetable selections were pretty lame honestly. I really wish these "home cooking" restaurants would serve some veggies that they didn't just scoop from a can to your plate. Side salad was very small and the plate was half filled with the roll and butter. I like a good salad Service was friendly, but honestly not great. Drink was empty most of the meal. We didn't try dessert maybe it would have redeemed the whole thing, they looked good. I honestly doubt we will be back, it was just okay and from my experience there are better places in Ozark to spend your dining dollars.

My wife and I stopped for a good meal today. Very disappointed in service and food. We both ordered hamburger steak meals. My wife had mash potatoes and I had peas. The potatoes were ok, the peas were starting to look old. You get rolls with the meal and they were stale. My wife's hamburger steak was half cooked. Returned it and after 10 minutes told them to cancel we are leaving. They didn't charge us for her meal. The manager/owner? was told that we would not recommend and she stood by the check out and didn't ask what the problem was and just stood there. They didn't have enough wait staff for the amount of customers and it was hard to get the right person's attention. The young hostess was the only plus to this place. Eat there again? Ha, never again. Save yourself and find somewhere else.

This restaurant has the best ever Server....MEL! She always goes over and beyond great customer service. The food is good and the atmosphere is good as well. However, I think you need to have the Strawberry Cake on the menu all the time...not just an occasional.

My family and I ate there last week. There was 7 of us. Everything was well prepared and plenty of it. We are going again this Sunday. We all had something different and found it to be worth the price. Thank you for opening such a great place to eat. This is not fast food and precooked and I am glad. The servers were very personable, kind and took care of us. God bless. Thank you.
