I have been seeing Dr. Andrews, for over 10 years for my lumbar stenosis that would occasionally flare up but I could usually control with regular exercise and occasional physical therapy. However, over the last few years my stenosis got progressively worse and during this past year the pain became intolerable. A new MRI convinced Dr. Andrews that it was time for a minimally invasive laminatomy which he successfully performed. I’m pain-free finally and I am grateful to this wonderful doctor whose no nonsense approach, clear explanations and care instills confidence and trust. I hope I don’t need to see Dr. Andrews in my near future but should my back start to give me problems again I know where to find him. Thank you again, Dr. Andrews. I’m so happy my old primary care physician referred me to you all those many years ago.
I’ve seen Dr Andrews about three years ago and at the time he said that there was not that he could do. Jump forward three years and after a seemingly minor fall I found myself in terrible pain. And sought help from various of doctors. I bounced around PAMF and final went into urgent care. To this day my doctor has not called me. My only ask was field pain meds and an MRI. A week later got into Soar, not much was done, but I was prescribed Gabapentin and he wanted to see the MRI. Note they never followed up, the doctor left the room without uttering goodbye. Then final spoke with a Dr Lee at PAMF he was very attentive, and concerned, and his follow up was perfect, But he too could not get me into see the back specialist. Because of intense ongoing pain I recalled Dr Andrews and stated that I could not wait to June to see him for my issue was NOW! That call kick started something, I received an immediate call back and schedule immediately. Dr Andrews spent time and explained everything and then said there is no option but surgery. He then provide me with his cell phone and welcomed a call. What doctor does that. I did schedule my surgery and it turned out perfect and he, and his office have reached out several times to check on my recovery. I know Dr Andrews saved my nerves from perm damage. I’m thankful to have him as my doctor. A rare and caring, and present doctor. Thank you for your service.
THE RIGHT HAND OF DIVINITY You simply cannot hope for a better neurosurgeon! 14 years ago, Dr. Andrews performed a cervical laminoplasty to correct severe spinal stenosis. Eight weeks after surgery, I began to forget I had ever had the procedure! No pain, no loss of range of motion. A brilliant job! He may seem a bit arrogant at first, but he's earned the right to that. Brian Andrews is a master of his art!
After agony for 17 years I went to Dr Andrews. Because of bone and disk growth, there was no more room along my spinal cord and the growth was lying across my nerves. He agreed to operate, and I felt safe in his hands. Recovery is pretty long for such surgery discectomy, fusion but 7 mos along I feel much better. After the accident that concussed and almost crippled me w horrible pain 24/7 I saw a number of neurologists and neurosurgeons, and Dr Andrews & Dr Eric Denys, retired struck me as the best. Highly recommend.
Excellent surgeon - go to him if you can. Great office staff too! If only all practices could run this well.
