Stay Away From Pacific Park Dental Care, Dr. Truong’s Office! This is the kind of provider that victimizes those patients that go to her office seeking insurance-covered treatment, e.g. your 6-month checkups. She already has a plan to administer unjustified treatments and charge outrageously for those not covered. That’s exactly what happened to me and my son. For the last 7 years insured with Aetna, I’ve paid NOTHING out of pocket to other providers for 6-month checkups and standard treatment associated to them e.g. normal cleaning. In my first appointment with Dr. Truong, it turned out I had to pay $567.60 for the 6-month checkup for my son and myself. That was despite her assistant Ashley, at the front door affirmed she had done all due insurance coverage verifications. After I left and thoroughly reviewed the ‘Statement of Services Rendered’, I decided to call Aetna and go through each of the itemized services. Aetna’s representatives told me that all services except for Gingival Irrigations were covered, and that I had definitely been charged inappropriately. Aetna sent Grievance Response letters regarding our two cases to both the provider and myself, determining that: - A credit of $167.60 was owed to us - One of the services rendered, the Full Mouth Debridement, was completely unjustified given our dental records, and disallowed by the Committee, which includes at least one licensed dentist. It took 3 months after Aetna’s determination and multiple calls to Dr. Truong’s office to get my money back. She was refusing to credit me back. Now attention to this. The remaining $400 were for the only treatment that was not covered and that Aetna didn’t disallow, which is Gingival Irrigations. Never in the past I was offered or recommended to get administered such treatment at any other providers. Dr. Truong initially included a ‘50% Office Discount’ that you could clearly see in the Statement of Services Rendered that applied to those gingival irrigations. Aetna doesn’t factor discounts in their determinations, so when obligated to credit me back, Dr. Truong decided not to honor the discounts she originally included, which would have brought the cost of the gingival irrigations from $400 down to $200, so she still owes me another $200 that she refused to pay back after calling her attention on that for another 5 months. Finally, if despite this review you end up in her office, and she comes up with gingival irrigations or full mouth debridement, that should automatically raise a big RED FLAG. I only recommend STAYING AWAY from Pacific Park Dental Care, Dr. Truong’s office.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Truong’s for around 10 years. She is very warm and understanding of all of our needs. At each visit I have always been welcomed with a smile and a genuine “how have you been?”, followed with excellent treatment and conversation. I’ve read some of the past reviews on here and I don’t understand why some of them are so negative. I completely trust her and recommend her to anyone that is looking for a loyal family dentist.

Our family has been going to Dr. Truong for a few years now. It is reassuring to me that Dr. Truong does the teeth cleaning herself instead of a dental assistant, so she is able to get a really good look at your teeth. She is patient and gentle, and doesn't seem to suggest unnecessary treatments.

I would highly recommend Dr. Truong and staff for dental services! She has great experience, professional, nice and gentle with patients like me. I've been going to Dr. Truong over 10 years. I trust Dr. Truong to take care of my teeth which are very important for a great smile!

Terrible experience and a waste of time! Take your time and look for a different doctor it will be worthwhile. Dr. Lauren T. and her Pacific Dental Care office it's the most unprofessional, careless arrogant dental office I have been to. After taking Xrays the doctor informed me that my child needs a crown and will cost $ 1500. I went to a different doctor and we asked Pacific Dental to release the Xrays to the new office . Ashley was extremely rude and following the Dr. Lauren T. instruction she did NOT release the Xray. I had to expose my kid to unnecessary x-ray radiation and simply she needed a filing instead of the expensive crown for a 14 years old child. This office is a shame and the most dishonest doctor I have ever experienced. I believe they accept Dentical medical ...etc for the purpose to get more customers in and then just convincing the customers they need to pay $$$$$$ for things that actually insurance covers or procedures that are not needed. Shameful...please read all the reviews for this office ...you could be their next victim of a scam.

Dr. Truong took very good care of me. She performed a deep cleaning with no discomfort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Top Scores.

Just had our first visit to this dental office, great experience, highly recommended by me! Dr. Truong is genuine, warm and caring, my first visit was nothing but wonderful experience!

Dr. Truong and Ashley are wonderful and I would highly recommend this practice. I felt well cared for and comfortable.

I have been going to Dr. Trong for years. Not only is she great even though i HATE going to the dentist she has given me a great smile with the fantastic veneers!!!!
