Observe the night sky through Digitalis Education Solutions' new fixed dome planetarium!
The Pacific Planetarium features comfortable 28 person bench seating around the perimeter of the dome. We host planetarium shows every Third Friday evening (5-8pm) of the month and the following sunday (12-4). First Fridays are put on by the volunteer efforts of Olympic Astronomical society and are subject to volunteer availability. Be sure to stay updated on Facebook!
Third Friday and Sunday shows begin every hour and cost $5 each. Third Friday show are various in-depth topics in astronomy. Sunday shows are audience requests and cost $5 each.
The mission of the Pacific Planetarium is to improve the level of astronomy knowledge in the Puget Sound region, to inspire excitement and interest in science and science education, and to provide related cultural and community enrichment opportunities. The planetarium will be a test bed to explore the effectiveness of different tools and teaching methodologies.
