Finally completed a very long treatment plan, including extractions, implants, fillings and crowns.......at outset i was extremely nervous but over time i came to appreciate everything Dr Kim and his staff have to offer....and its a lot !!!! From reception, to dental assistant Emily, to "finance" Keielly.....wrong spelling i am sure you are met with a smile and a genuine desire to make sure you are comfortable and relaxed. Dr Kim is truly an exceptional dental surgeon and in my case i can truly say my treatment was pain free and cost exactly as quoted......Friday i heard the magic words," nothing more needed" and i left with a huge smile on my face. Dr Kim , and his staff, are absolutely the best of the best and very highly recommended.......if you need dental work, make n appointment, you will not be disappointed
From the moment you walk into Pacific Smiles you are greeted with the kindest people! I love DR KIM!!  He is precise, kind, accurate, knowledgeable and a great comfort while he is working on you....Along with him, EMILY his assistant makes it all very relaxing while being worked on...And DANIELLA the Dental Hygienist is extremely thorough and professional with her cleanings.   I am very happy that I found such an amazing dental office to go to.
Great experience! We are new clients. This was my second visit. They are a very busy office but went out of their way to get me in for a cleaning and dental issue. Thorough, detailed very competent and super nice. I saw both Dr Kim and Dr Stone. All of the staff was equally amazing from Reception to Drs.
First and foremost I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to my dental hygienist Jill AMAZIIINGGG and to the rest of the team at Pacific Dental Smile a huge thank you for always putting me at ease each time I come for any dental cleaning or procedure. I have been coming to this dental office for about a year now and they are by far the BEST. They alway exceed my expectation and actually make my visit just wonderful and not to mention painless. Jill Dental Hygienist have such a wonderful best side manner, she makes you feel comfortable before starting the dental workup which is important for people like me who have anxiety and listens to your concerns. I work in healthcare and providing best patient care and customer service is crucial, I would say this is the best there is. I highly recommend this place. I would give them 10 stars if I could :. Now looking forward to my dental check ups.
**BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST, FRED KIM** What a nightmare! I went to this dentist, Fred Kim for 20 months from 2018 to 2022 for upper denture and lower bridge work. The upper denture work should have taken a single appointment. However, the upper denture was not properly and I had it adjusted over 10 times. During that period, my lower bridge and two implants collapsed due to the misaligned upper denture. For the last 10 years, these had been fine because they were done by a different competent dentist. As a result, my lower bridge had to replaced by Dr. Kim. Several months later, the new bridge also failed which broke the 3rd implant done by 10 years ago the competent dentist. After the failure, Dr. Kim left me unable to chew on the right side of my mouth offering no resolution. Over 20-month ordeal, I suffered greatly because of the sub-standard care from Dr. Kim which led to permanent damage. Imagine living for years with excruciating pain during every bite. Later, I sought to get a refund for the $13,800 his treatment cost me, but Dr. Kim refused the refund. So, in January 2020, I left a negative online review detailing my experience, after which he sued me for defamation immediately. The first attorney I hired to defend me did not do his job properly. Later, after hiring a new attorney, I discovered that he was trying to sabotage my case against Dr. Kim. As a result of his incompetence and misconduct, Dr. Kim was able to get a sanction and default against me for $280,000 more then a quarter million in the lawsuit. I fired my 1st lawyer and am awaiting a retrial and our lawsuit will likely finish at the end of 2024. Dr. Kim has been spending so much time and effort on the lawsuit, I strongly doubt he is concentrating his patients. After all, he probably stands to make more money in the lawsuit against his former patient more than from his clinic. Meanwhile, I have had to take my dental problems, now substantially more complex, to more competent dentist for corrective care. I have had to spend over $60,000. I spent almost 2 years on corrective care during which I met current or former UCLA and USC dental professors, and I was able to learn why Dr. Kim failed -- his dental knowledge was lacking and dental skill was poor. One of the dentists I later visited for corrective care indicated that the work done on me by Fred Kim was, in his expert opinion, substandard. Please be careful and choose your dentist wisely! Dr. Kim's business has some fake reviews online Y3lp & G00gle as this dentist definitely doesn't deserve them. If only Dr. Kim would study modern dental techniques and technology, he wouldn't have to harass his former clients with defamation lawsuits when they tell the truth about his lack of skills. As you see other negative reviews of other patients here, Dr. Kim has threatened and bothered them to take down reviews immediately with a legal revenge against their one star reviews instead of just apologizing for the sub-standard care.
I have been a client of Dr. Kim’s since we moved to Redondo over 10 years ago. I was very lucky I chose the best dentist in the area! Dr. Kim is a perfectionist and will make sure you are beyond satisfied with your procedure. He is also a very nice and personable person. The hygienists are all highly skilled and super friendly. The front office staff are awesome to deal with as well. I honestly enjoy going to the dentist because everyone there makes me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Pacific Smiles.
I went to Pacific Smiles looking to get some cosmetic work done to replace a front tooth I’ve had missing since childhood. Dr. Kim thoroughly evaluated my case using digital xrays and advanced imaging. He took his time to discuss all possible options with me, and I felt confident going forward to complete treatment with him. The process was easy and straight forward, yet a lot of detail was taken into consideration, which was very important to me since it was a front tooth being worked on! Within two weeks from my initial consultation appointment, my Maryland Bridge was placed and I couldn’t be happier! The color match, shape, and length are perfect. It blends in seamlessly with my natural teeth. Additionally, all of the front desk staff, assistants, and hygienists are very helpful and friendly which completes the entire 5 star experience. I would recommend Pacific Smiles to anyone looking for a new dentist!
I never thought I could use the words “absolutely incredible” when describing a dental office until I came across Pacific Smiles. After years of terrible experiences at previous dentists I pressed the snooze button on cleanings and dental exams. 3+ years later I came to my senses and decided to choose a new dentist. Fearful, anxious, and cautiously optimistic I walked into Pacific Smiles and hoped for the best. Well I got more than just the best. Every single person in that office played a role in making me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr Hanna is an angel, taking her time to explain her exam findings and recommendations. Not once did I ever feel that I was being pushed into anything. Her passion for dentistry shows and her compassion for her patients is evident. My dental hygienist, Andrea, is quite literally a gift to dentistry. Do I dare say my cleaning was actually enjoyable?! It was! She’s knowledgeable, non judgmental and has the most gentle touch. And last but certainly not least, the front office staff are so welcoming and excellent at what they do. From billing questions to appointments they are always on top of things. Thank you to everyone at Pacific Smiles for making this such a positive experience. I actually look forward to seeing you all soon!
Believe all of the great reviews. The staff makes something that is dreaded an absolute breeze. Professional, friendly and courteous describes the staff from top to bottom. Best dentist in the area and probably anywhere.
Dr. Kim and his staff are absolutely amazing. They show the utmost professionalism are focused our delivering exceptional dental care. I had an implant crown installed to perfection. The color was a little off, but Dr. Kim offered me replacement if so desired. I opted not to because it was a back molar, but the functionality is exceptional. They are also very patient in dealing with my insurance carrier who unfortunately have been giving them a hard time. Thank you for the great service on all fronts! I highly recommend this group.
