CASH ONLY and be prepared for a line if you get here during lunch. WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Authentic Mexican food with amazing service. I had the special of the day, carnitas with potatoes and turnip greens, with both red and green chilies. I can’t wait to come back.Food: 5/5
We read the reviews when we found this place. Hopefully you try it out for yourself. Phillip our waiter was friendly, quick, & informative. We got there about 130, Place was still busy, but seated quickly. Salsa was good, chips a little hard but tasty. We ordered Chicken Enchiladas Dinner with Sopaipillas. Food was great, hot, & just the right amount. Parking is interesting, with no room for RVs. Restaurant wasn’t a fancy place, more the you feel right at home or at grandma’s vibe. All of the staff were friendly & efficient. Lots of locals & seniors, who know the right place to eat. We will go back. **Only cash is excepted** go prepared.
Food was DELICIOUS! Really Authentic New Mexican Cuisine. Order was taken pretty fast and delivered to the table pretty quick. Spend about 45 minutes total. Parking lot was pretty full but not terrible to locate a space. Great experience overall. The Hatch Green Chili Enchiladas and Red Sauce Enchiladas we both really good!!
Excellent service and food. Salsa could be better but good nonetheless. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated, but worth the wait.Food: 5/5
kinda bummed, reviews had us excited but maybe New Mexico food isn’t our palate…sopaillas were outstanding tho and chips almost staleFood: 3/5
Just had lunch earlier today with my family including nephew from Tennessee. Oh boy was it delicious today, like always! Very authentic New Mexican food… Recommended dishesHuevos Rancheros Green
Food was really delicious! Sopaipillas bread with honey was such a nice combination!! Staff was nice :!
The Carne Adovada with red chili was a huge portion, so flavorful, and the red chili sauce was perfect - not super hot. The chips and salsa were good. The stuffed sopaipilla with beans was flavorful; the sopaipilla gets soggy so will order hard tacos next time. I had red chili sauce on it which was flavorful and just right on the spice - mild to medium flavor which I liked a lot. The sopaipillas for dessert are excellent. Plenty of honey in a squeeze bottle at the table. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. The bathrooms are near the kitchen and are adequate. This is an « old school diner »with a local feel which was very welcoming. Highly recommend this local business.
Nice local place with good food. Bring cash, they accept no cards.Food: 5/5
We live in Rio Rancho and it was our first visit here. The food and the employees and just everything was absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely return many times in the future!
