As one of eight branch libraries in the Onondaga County Public Library System in Syracuse, NY, Paine Branch Library serves the Eastwood community.
On March 19, 1958 the present facility was opened and named the Paul Mayo Paine Branch. Dr. Paine was a newspaperman and librarian, and was Director of the Syracuse Public Library from 1915-1942. The library provides over 23,000 books and media resources, computers with Internet access and programs for adults and children. We traditionally have a wide variety of art displays by local artists as well as yearly exhibits by Huntington, Blessed Sacrament and Henninger students.
Onondaga County Libraries prepare our community for a bright future by creating opportunities, empowering people, and inspiring ideas.
